Ed Bullins

Ed Bullins (July 2, 1935 – November 13, 2021) was a significant figure in American theater, particularly known for his contributions to African American drama during the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and 1970s. He was a playwright, poet, and essayist whose works often explored the experiences of Black Americans, particularly those living in urban environments.

He married poet and activist Pat Parker in 1962. She and Bullins separated after four years.
