SAGE: A Scholarly Journal on Black Women: Women’s studies programs have largely ignored Black women. Until Black women’s studies courses are developed, feminist scholarship on Black women will not advance, and the contributions of Black women to women’s rights movements and African American literature and scholarship may be neglected.
