What if the Revolution Came?
by C  ©1998

Would you be caught with your pants down?
Gettin’ your nails and/or hair done?
Getting high or gettin over on your brothers and sisters?
Misses and Misters

I’m telling you now!
Forewarned is forarmed is what they  used to say…
and to those that think the struggle is finished,
your hysteria has caused our culture to diminish

Because you were sleepin
middle of the night creeping
Cell phone and pager beepin
boomin in your jeep and

making it harder for the youngsters that watch
and want to be like us...
to distinguish reality from the Double Dutch Bus
MISeducating your people

Are you GUILTY as charged?
Lookin stupid, livin large?
We are only as strong as our weakest and I’m calling you out
Ignorant to the facts,  you don’t even know what the struggle is about

Ya too fly to be free
blue contacts don’t help you see
you ain’t ready for the last days
playing Nintendo with that mindless gaze

How long before you get up off your asses
with your gold plated, designer, rose colored glasses
and motivate your people to do some good.

You should

Cause ain’t no straddling the fence
when the revolution comes!
