Hello and thank you for checking out my web page. I want to start by giving everyone who supported me, much, much thanks and love. Without God and people like you,( those who constantly urge and encourage), my life would be much different. My goal three years ago was to get my book published. At the time, I didn't care if I had to self publish or if I came out with a major publisher.

I began reading romance novels at an early age, (age eleven). I  loved reading so much that soon I was checking out an average of 10-12 books a month and finishing them long before they were due. Then my love for writing began. I started writing short stories and selling them to my friends at school for $3. I even dabbed at poetry but my true love was writing stories. After I graduated from high school, I went into the service and served as a flight operations specialist from 1993-1996. I did my basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and my AIT in Fort Rucker, Alabama. I received an honorable discharge and retained the rank of E-4. I remember reporting to my permanent duty station, Fort Campbell, KY and learning that Jackie Onassis Kennedy had died. I was19 years old and felt like the wind had been taken out of me. All I could think, of was my mother telling me how the Kennedy's fought against segregation in the 60's and it was because of people like them,( people who saw beyond the color of your skin), that most blacks loved the democratic party.

I got married a few years after I joined the service and moved back to my hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Once I was settled in, I wanted to start working and chose the health profession as my career, or did it choose me? I was working various agencies and decided to take on a private duty case. A co-worker referred me to the family and once I met my little lady, I knew we were perfect for each other. She lived in an assisted living facility with her husband and we bonded in just a short time. Whenever the couple slept, I wrote. Page after page just flowed and before I knew it, a wonderful story was born. Recently, I had the honor of meeting Victoria Christopher Murray this past June when she came to the Hilton Toledo as the Keynote speaker hosted by the Chapter IX Circle of Friends.

It was a joyous event and myself along with several of the other authors we were able to speak briefly about our work and future endeavors. Many of the authors presented still have 9-5's but with God and your help, my job will soon consist of only writing and fulfilling my dream of becoming nationally known.
