From the Author

My how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that I started writing poetry. And yet, it was 25 years ago when I realized that my life would never be the same. After the sudden loss of my beloved sister Gloria, I became more sensitive to my surroundings — to people, to nature, to life — to everything. I became closer to God because I needed a friend who would always be there for me. Since that time everything has had new meaning for me. I am profoundly touched by the beauty I find everywhere. I am deeply moved by the wonderful things created by His hands.

Years have passed and yet my life has remained essentially the same. Over the years my life experiences have been subtly incorporated into my writing, often mirroring the images of my soul. I feel very blessed and hope I can gently lure you into my world with my thoughts, imagery and words. I reflect my Grandmother Helen’s legacy throughout this collection with intricately detailed stories, fantasy tales, flashbacks and even bits and pieces of my own life. I want to share some of my special moments with you. We can all learn to smile, laugh, live and love. I invite you to join me now and we’ll share these experiences together.
