    Can A Woman Reinvent Herself?

Cheryl Robinson is known for writing novels with a twist, portraying women who face the odds and succeed. Her books are touted as being fresh and exciting, and her characters generally heart felt. The protagonist in her latest release, Sweet George Brown, is no different. Georgia Brown is the mother of two young sons and loving wife of Marvin Brown, a wanna-be comedian chasing that elusive shooting star. Georgia supports her man spiritually and financially, even while he’s unemployed and they must move in with his parents.

After becoming the first-place winner in a national reality TV show, Marvin has finally arrived. He is determined to repay Georgia for the eleven years she has struggled beside him. He moves the family into their dream house, they drive the best cars, and Georgia becomes a stay-at-home mother and wife. For the first time, money is plentiful. Georgia feels that all their dreams have finally become reality. Almost.

Something is happing to Marvin. Now a popular on-air radio personality, he uses his wife as the butt of painful and uncaring jokes to boost his ratings.

Georgia becomes disillusioned, depressed and gains weight. A spiritual woman, Georgia desires to reinvent her life and relies on her faith to accomplish that change. Yet, she can't close her eyes to Marvin’s philandering and total disregard for his family. Marvin, however, feels as long as the money is rolling in he is doing his job.

Sweet Georgia Brown is a novel that will make women stand up and cheer as Georgia perseveres and ’Marvelous Marvin’ gets what he deserves. Cheryl Robinson gives her readers yet another woman who fights the good fight. Cheryl’s empowering story will give others like Georgia the courage to change their lives as well.

I laughed and cried while reading this book. The message is clear, ’What goes around comes back!’ This is a novel you will love.
