A Manhattan-based writer and freelance editor, Sheree R. Thomas contributes to several publications.

She is currently editing an anthology of science-fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction by black writers with Martin Simmons, as well as a new quarterly literary journal, ANANSI: Fiction of the African Diaspora, which premiered Kwanzaa 1998.
