Let us introduce you to one of the newest and fastest growing radio stations in the metro Detroit Area WPON 1460 AM!

WPON 1460 AM has been noticed by both local and national media such as as:  The Detroit Free Press, The Oakland Press, the Metro Times, television stations CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, UPN, CNN, ESPN, and many more.

In 1994 their format became talk radio.  Of special note is the "Book Beat" radio show hosted by Lee. E Meadows.  Every Monday at

4PM EST, listeners in the Detroit area can learn all about literature in the African American community.  Listeners will enjoy Lee Meadow's interviews of prominent and up-and-coming authors, as well as his discussions with book store owners, book clubs, internet content providers, and a variety of others related to African American literature.
