FOR REAL! But I was pressed to learn about this a few years ago as it is being pushed and forced on the school kids. That's interesting. Never thought of it in this way. But it does. I think this movement is to drown out the cries of African Americans by saying that Homosexuals are discriminated against too, so therefore, you don't deserve Reparations anymore than they do. This government is trying to ignore chattel slavery and its awful affects on us. Absolutely true.

I actually believe that the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse was more spectacular than this one of 2024. I saw them both as a partial eclipse where I was located. I saw the 2017 eclipse when I was in Florida and unlike this one, it became kind of dark, the street lights came on and the birds became confused and started chirping. NEVERTHELESS I think that this Total Solar eclipse that moved across North America and reached totality in certain areas was very significant for several reasons. I think that it is very significant because it occurred around the time of the Vernal equinox in April which is an ancient leap month every three years for some ancient civilizations. But more importantly, I think that the comet, Pons Brooks that also moved through our solar system and has positioned itself close to our sun during this time is very interesting. Like the recent ZTF comet it is also a green comet. And this time I got a better pair of binoculars! Unlike mostly all scientist of this western world, I do not believe in what they profess in that this comet and most of them do not affect our planet earth. I believe that is very misleading! As soon as this comet came close to our planet, the volcano in Iceland erupted again and without warning. Experts did not for-see this eruption that occurred weeks ago. Two days ago, on APRIL 17, their was a major earthquake in Japan and a volcano eruption in Northern Indonesia of which the volcano erupted at least four times. And this comet is moving and will its closest to the sun on April 21! It seems to get energized from the sun. The sun is like a fuel station so-to-speak. It will be its closest to our earth on June 2, 2024. So, many may believe it is a coincidence, but i believe the ancient priest-scientist in that some comets do affect our earth. Also, the Lyrid meteor shower is occurring right now and will peak April 22 at around the same time this comet will get the closest to the sun. Additionally, on April 21, there will be a large planetary alignment. But last year this meteor shower and another one was more brilliant as it was radiating. Finally, and although this seems to be a secret, ancient scriptures say that this week was actually the Feast of Tabernacles and the time of the birth of Christ. So wehn you are driving at night, you might see seveal houses lit up with Christmas lights. There is so much more amazing facts about the Pons Brooks comettoo, that I hope to learn about and share. Right now, it is located in the Constellation Taurus and rises and is position low in the sky on the celestial equator and is not too far from the planet Jupiter. This is so fascinating to me! Last year, scientist saw this comet around February 2023 and knew that it would arrive in our inner solar system at this time. It came from some where in the outer space and moved past the ancient planets and now it is about 240,000,000 miles from our sun. That means it is much closer than Jupiter. Because it exploded and expanded, it is now visible with the naked eye and looks like any star. However, it looks like a comet with a tail in binoculars and it looks like an elongated green jewel in the night sky.

Yep. I am procrastinating! Right now, I am lacking confidence in starting some of my goals and I am trying to get the confidence. But again though, I believe that life goes on in another dimension so, I also believe like the artist Desiree sings, I am 'living for tomorrow not today'. I don't really care about getting older because I still feel young in spirit. I don't like the aches and pains of being older but strive to be healthier. I love to dance and always imagine myself on some dance floor...

Same here @Troy. I'm always tuned into @aka Contrarian as well as other regulars here too. I am hoping to slow down and lounge here longer but I'm so busy right now. I see @Mel Hopkins has commented here and love to read her too and others as well. It's so good to hear the opinions of the men in this community but aka Contrarian seems to hit the spot! Even when she is 'contrary', nevertheless, she nails it for me.

For real! LOL! Celebrities can change look drastically and because they do it in front of the camera, it may seem like a dramatic transformation. I can understand what @Pioneer1 said though. But she's all woman imo.

Oh yes! He dropped a lot of wisdom. Some of what he said though, well I guess I am still young in my mind[!] and so, I am little indifferent to certain things that he said or maybe it's genderism. As a woman, I still care about how I look even at this age. I'm not as picky now though about my hair but, I still would like to have it styled nice. I'm over weight and desperately need to fight for better health, but, I still get a lot of attention from men, and I like that! LOL! His comments on when he dies really hits home though. I am absolutely NOT ready to share much right now, but I have just had to deal with the death of an older family member and I am deeply grieving. This person has really abused me in a terrible way and well, years back she apologized and I absolutely forgave. Since that time too, she continued to want to hear from me and so, I would contact her regularly to ease her mind but it was stressful every time. EVERYONE desperately wanted me to make an appearance and well, WHEW! I did. When I got there, I was treated like a superstar for coming. Everyone depended on me! It's as if they needed me to feel OKAY about how they felt about her. Forgiveness is divine. My sister pressed me and said, 'We Need You!" My other sister demanded that funds were given to get me there because she was really distraught and wanted my support. And I'm flat broke due to the very abusive conflict! But 'they' got me there with some help. One of my sons refused to come and I am very protective of him because I know what he went through. And my other son came and to his surprise they put him on the program to speak! lol! i was told that both of my sons would fall behind in school 2 to 3 years due to the ordeal, but well, I got busy and tutored them and home schooled them. So that one son that showed up to the funeral was put on the program with his title. He has a Phd in Mechanical Engineering. But the money is not here yet. We are still struggling. I still believe that if young children are hurt and abused then that is not going to be a good outcome for anyone. People should be careful about hurting innocence. @aka Contrarian WOW! Maybe you are not impressed because you need another focus. 90 is awesome imo but maybe it's relativity and for others, it's just a number. Even though I believe reaching 90 and 100 is a great accomplishment, I want to live forever! I have no intentions of ending. I want to rest though, but only to get energized again. I want to do too many things and have not even started some of my goals! That is why I cannot afford to stop or die. Rest yes. It's good to sleep and RIP but never end. No. Your mind is too strong and sharp and I can understand why would fight boredom and depression. I hope that you rest and get out of that! Thank you @Troy Thank you!

My auntie is 91 and is still sharped tongue and full of life as ever! She is absolutely remarkable. Whether Cynical or @aka Contrarian, for your input in today's world is rich. I wonder why others at your age don't see the need to do the same and I hope to live on ... and do the same. At my age, I have come to realize that some of my younger relatives are now needing my input! This comes as a surprise to me.

Yes. The freedom to submit to something can be like submitting to something that you know will also bring rebuke upon yourself from somebody, at some point in time make take courage. But Can You Decide For Yourself? Deciding for yourself to make choices or being afraid to do it for fear of pissing off someone is a crucial notion, imo. Sometimes I make contrary choices and just don't give a d*** and suffer the consequences even though I know I'm not going to like being singled out, but yet, I do it anyway.
