DIALOGUE is published by The Alliance for Cultural Enrichment, Inc. (ACE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Because ACE is a small but growing organization, it is not possible at this time to pay for submissions selected. ACE can only give artists and writers recognition and help build portfolios.

DIALOGUE is printed four times a year: January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. Submission deadlines are due the first of November, February, May, and August.

All material must include the author’s name, a biographical sketch of no more than three lines, a picture (optional), and a contact number if you want it included with your submission. All submissions should be typed double-spaced in 12-point type on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. E-mail submissions are accepted, but if attaching a file, format text in Rich Text Format (RTF) and graphic files in .tif format.

Artwork submitted should be no larger than 8 1/ 2 x 11 and of good quality that will reproduce well in black and white. Include artist’s picture and biographical sketch of approximately 500 words. No slides are accepted at this time.

Book reviews should be critical analyses of no more than 750 words. It’s best to ensure beforehand that any given review has not already been done. Include the book’s complete title, author’s name, date of publication, and publisher’s name and address. If possible, send a good quality copy of the book’s jacket or scan cover in .tif format and send via E-mail.

Commentaries of less than 750 words and pertinent to the format of the publication will be given first consideration.

Short stories, essays or excerpts of books should be less than 1600 words.

Poems less than 150 words will be given first consideration. Type poems as they should appear. Prefer (in order of preference) humorous, uplifting, love, social, and political poems.
