  2. @ProfDWhat specific legislation do you want passed besides the one for reparations? The hundreds of patronage jobs handed out are the payback for the black vote. And I was speaking of the Democratic Congressional House Speaker, Hakeem Jeffries, not a black caucus member. Black Liberal politicos who themselves benefit from the black vote do look out for their constiuents. That's why they get reelected. Yet, like a spokesman for the Republican Party, you parrot its line, in denial about grass root reality.

  4. Yes.....Only because I wish to give @Pioneer1 the benefit of the doubt and the chance to prove me wrong. Afterall he seems genuine and well meaning....
  5. France will boost military spending by more than one-third in the coming years, President Emmanuel Macron said, as he unveiled ambitions to transform the French army to deal with the great “perils” of this century. Acknowledging the end of the “peace dividend” of the post-Cold War era, Macron said on Friday the planned 2024-2030 budget would adapt the military to the possibility of high-intensity conflicts, made all the more urgent since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine almost 11 months ago. The spending spree is needed to ensure “our freedom, our security, our prosperity, our place in the world”, said Macron. The budget for the period will stand at 413 billion euros ($447bn), up from 295 billion euros ($320bn) in 2019-2025, which means by 2030 France’s military budget would have doubled since he took power in 2017. “As war is changing France has and will have armies ready for the perils of the century,” said Macron, speaking at the Mont-de-Marsan airbase in southwestern France. “We need to be one war ahead.” The money would notably go to modernising France’s nuclear arsenal. “Nuclear deterrence is an element that makes France different from other countries in Europe. We see anew, in analysing the war in Ukraine, its vital importance,” he said. France will invest massively in drones and military intelligence, areas where French officials have said recent conflicts exposed gaps, and the military should pivot towards a strategy of high-intensity conflict. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/1/20/macron-boosts-french-military-spending-by-over-a-third Africa and Latin America countries should be recolonized by US – Blackwater founder Erik Prince BE PREPARED! France's General Lecointre has announced a military recolonization of Africa by France President Emmanuel Macron has said the era of French interference in Africa was “well over” as he began a four-nation tour of the continent to renew frayed ties. Anti-French sentiment has run high in some former African colonies as the continent has become a renewed diplomatic battleground, with Russian and Chinese influence growing in the region. Macron said France harboured no desire to return to past policies of interfering in Africa before an environment summit in Gabon, the first leg of his trip. “The age of Francafrique is well over,” Macron said in remarks to the French community in the capital Libreville, referring to France’s post-colonisation strategy of supporting authoritarian leaders to defend its interests. “Sometimes, I get the feeling that mindsets haven’t moved along as much as we have, when I read, hear and see people ascribing intentions to France that it doesn’t have,” he added. “Francafrique” is a favourite target of pan-Africanists, who have said that after the wave of decolonisation in 1960, France propped up dictators in its former colonies in exchange for access to resources and military bases. Macron and his predecessors, notably Francois Hollande, have previously declared that the policy is dead and that France has no intention of meddling in sovereign affairs. Military revamp Macron on Monday said there would be a “noticeable reduction” in France’s troop presence in Africa “in the coming months” and a greater focus on training and equipping allied countries’ forces. France has in the past year withdrawn troops from former colonies Mali, Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic (CAR). The pullout from Mali and Burkina Faso, where its soldiers were supporting the Sahel nations to battle a long-running armed rebellion, came on the back of a wave of local hostility. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/3/2/macron-says-era-of-french-interference-in-africa-is-over
  6. @Troy I do troy but I don't recall any mention of graphic novels in the video so I fugre the video si just for the video character, thus culture section.
  7. @nels, the Conservatives consist of millions of racists. No way in h8ll they would do anything to help Black folks. @aka Contrarian, I'm not diminishing the fact that Black folks have been elected to and/or chosen to serve in positions of power. That's great from an individual perspective. My contention is that even Black folks in the highest positions do not individually or even collectively wield enough power to overcome any aspect of the system of racism white supremacy. The VP has admitted she wouldn't do anything specifically to help Black folks. She has been reduced to a POTUS side-piece and empty talking head. Liberals used her to secure the Black vote. The Congressional Black Caucus hasn't produced any legislation specifically to help Black folks. But, they sign the anti-Black bills. In the meantime, one Asian congresswoman could introduce an anti-Asian Hate Crime Bill which they all signed. Liberals haven't produced anything tangible for Black folks. Yet, they pander to us when it's time get elected.
  8. @ProfD You are fixated on using reparations as a yard stick and employing a selective criteria that lacks perspective while invoking what has become become the patented black narrative. You choose to diminish the fact that a black man served 2 terms as POTUS and Liberal Democtats helped elect him. The liberal Democratic administration currently has a black female VP even if she, like everyone who holds this office, wields little power. There are also black males holding the offices of Conressional minority leader and Secretary of Defense, black females holding the positions of Supreme Justice Court Justice and white house press secretary. Black democrat-appointed Judges and district attorneys and democrat mayors all over the country. And it's not as if Federal grants and funds are not pouring into urban areas. But it can never be enough for the critics who are reluctant to place blame where it belongs. Hispanics are the largest minority population and they are more monolithic than Blacks, not to mention the Latino nationalities of the migrants. In reply to nels' question, the answer is "NO".
  9. How would you know that? Rule: Don't debate irrational circular arguments. Good luck and have a nice weekend.
  10. Hilarious skit. That sista crushed it.
  11. Please feel free to list legislation Liberals have passed specifically to help Black folks. Democratic POTUS Lyndon Johnson was a tall order racist. Even he referred to the Civil Rights Act as the "nigger bill". IMO, Black folks have made progress in America by default just like white women. Black progress in America did not come from loyalty to Liberals. Definitely not through policies specifically for us. Liberals haven't put forth any bills to adress reparations. They did come up with a 1994 Crime bill leading to mass incarceration of Black folks. Gee thanks. Look no further than the current administration. Black folks helped put POTUS PJB in the White House. Billions of dollars in foreign aid flying outta here as we type. Yet, there's no line item for reparations in any bills. Liberals pander to Black folks during election cycles and leave them high and dry once elected. It's been the same sh8t for 50 years and counting.
  12. Novocain Can Lead to Divorce Court! This Video Short-skit I found to be hilarious! So I thought I would share it for a little humor today. I don't know what I would do if I were in this situation. I wonder how angry would a Brother get if he heard this kind of revelation from his girlfriend or wife at the dentist office. And if I heard this kind of talk , well when the phone messages came into play, that would be obvious to me that was truth serum. Careful Who You Take With You To Your Dental Appointment
  13. Hi Chevdove! Glad you stopped by. Always good to hear from you!
  14. @ProfD To state that black folks haven't gotten anything out of their loyalty to Liberals is to say that they haven't made any progress from the way things used to be, and that isn't true. Unless your idea of progress is a total take over of the country by its black.minority
  15. FOR REAL! But I was pressed to learn about this a few years ago as it is being pushed and forced on the school kids. That's interesting. Never thought of it in this way. But it does. I think this movement is to drown out the cries of African Americans by saying that Homosexuals are discriminated against too, so therefore, you don't deserve Reparations anymore than they do. This government is trying to ignore chattel slavery and its awful affects on us. Absolutely true.
  16. I actually believe that the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse was more spectacular than this one of 2024. I saw them both as a partial eclipse where I was located. I saw the 2017 eclipse when I was in Florida and unlike this one, it became kind of dark, the street lights came on and the birds became confused and started chirping. NEVERTHELESS I think that this Total Solar eclipse that moved across North America and reached totality in certain areas was very significant for several reasons. I think that it is very significant because it occurred around the time of the Vernal equinox in April which is an ancient leap month every three years for some ancient civilizations. But more importantly, I think that the comet, Pons Brooks that also moved through our solar system and has positioned itself close to our sun during this time is very interesting. Like the recent ZTF comet it is also a green comet. And this time I got a better pair of binoculars! Unlike mostly all scientist of this western world, I do not believe in what they profess in that this comet and most of them do not affect our planet earth. I believe that is very misleading! As soon as this comet came close to our planet, the volcano in Iceland erupted again and without warning. Experts did not for-see this eruption that occurred weeks ago. Two days ago, on APRIL 17, their was a major earthquake in Japan and a volcano eruption in Northern Indonesia of which the volcano erupted at least four times. And this comet is moving and will its closest to the sun on April 21! It seems to get energized from the sun. The sun is like a fuel station so-to-speak. It will be its closest to our earth on June 2, 2024. So, many may believe it is a coincidence, but i believe the ancient priest-scientist in that some comets do affect our earth. Also, the Lyrid meteor shower is occurring right now and will peak April 22 at around the same time this comet will get the closest to the sun. Additionally, on April 21, there will be a large planetary alignment. But last year this meteor shower and another one was more brilliant as it was radiating. Finally, and although this seems to be a secret, ancient scriptures say that this week was actually the Feast of Tabernacles and the time of the birth of Christ. So wehn you are driving at night, you might see seveal houses lit up with Christmas lights. There is so much more amazing facts about the Pons Brooks comettoo, that I hope to learn about and share. Right now, it is located in the Constellation Taurus and rises and is position low in the sky on the celestial equator and is not too far from the planet Jupiter. This is so fascinating to me! Last year, scientist saw this comet around February 2023 and knew that it would arrive in our inner solar system at this time. It came from some where in the outer space and moved past the ancient planets and now it is about 240,000,000 miles from our sun. That means it is much closer than Jupiter. Because it exploded and expanded, it is now visible with the naked eye and looks like any star. However, it looks like a comet with a tail in binoculars and it looks like an elongated green jewel in the night sky.
  17. True. Especially as it relates to politics. Black folks haven't gotten anything out of loyalty to Liberals. Black folks wouldn't fare any better as Conservatives. If Black folks do not come up with an agenda/interests pretty d8mn quick to which politicians can be held accountable, once supplanted by other groups of people, Black votes will really become an exercise in futility by 2040 if not sooner.
  18. I'm late getting this page because I've been on duty stargazing! @ProfD
  19. My pleasure @Troy This book is one of the best books I've ever come across! I am totally in awe at the talent of this author and the illustrator.
  20. Yep. I am procrastinating! Right now, I am lacking confidence in starting some of my goals and I am trying to get the confidence. But again though, I believe that life goes on in another dimension so, I also believe like the artist Desiree sings, I am 'living for tomorrow not today'. I don't really care about getting older because I still feel young in spirit. I don't like the aches and pains of being older but strive to be healthier. I love to dance and always imagine myself on some dance floor...
  21. Same here @Troy. I'm always tuned into @aka Contrarian as well as other regulars here too. I am hoping to slow down and lounge here longer but I'm so busy right now. I see @Mel Hopkins has commented here and love to read her too and others as well. It's so good to hear the opinions of the men in this community but aka Contrarian seems to hit the spot! Even when she is 'contrary', nevertheless, she nails it for me.
  22. "Nappy Dugout!" Is that the same as a "waxed hideaway"? Since I no longer have anything to lose by putting men down, I will confirm my suspicions that they are not really the stronger sex.
  23. @nels go back to sleep, Tiger, Tiger, - or Leopard, Leopard. Nobody takes me seriously. I'm just hangin' around here, bidin' my time. Buenos Noches.
  24. Yes. Always lingering in my thoughts when exposed to the intensity of Palestenian partisans excoriating those who don't support their cause, is that none of this would be happening if Palestinian terrorists hadn't disturbed that Israeli hornet's nest! In addition to all the many other things in this world that pet my peeve, are people who call themselves "woke". (And, keep all remarks about petting my peeve to yourself)
  25. Seriously? ? Not exactly following your response, which doesn't seem (that) clear to me. One thing is likely more than certain, Black America appears destined to be permanently supplanted by others much sooner than it thinks and neither white Americans or conservatives for that matter can be blamed for the inevitable. The following may be just the tip of a very big iceberg. Chicago Citizens Confront Mayor Brandon Johnson About Proposal To Spend $70 Million More On Migrants https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WlQ-bToa7c
  26. Seems to me that, dating back to the 1960s, Whites in general, and Conservatives, in particular, have relied on quotes by MLK and Malcolm X to shut Blacks down. All these "wolves in sheeps' clothing" needed to do when trying to placate or mute Blacks, was to tailor the words of Malcolm and MLK to bolster their arguments, and negroes would back off. In reality, neither of these 2 black sacro-sanct icons were infallible or right about everything, and time has taken the sheen off of some of the ideas they embraced. MLK was wrong about integration being the key to racial harmony, and Malcolm was duped by Elijah Muhammad and bamboozled by the Black Muslim version of Islam. Yet, to this day such manipulation continues and few Blacks opt to challenge any quotations attributed to Brother Malcolm or the Reverend Martin King and brought to their attention by those with ulterior motives. These 2 black leaders both lost their lives in the ongoing struggle that continues to this day. But their words live on and continue to haunt us. Seems to me.
