DESCRIPTION:\n	Michelangelo born 1475\n\n\n\n	 \n\n\n\n	For me Michelan
gelo is a greater sculptor\, I know many like his paintings\, like the sis
tince chapel but I prefer his sculptures.\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	The Madonna of
the Stairs (or Madonna of the Steps) is a relief sculpture around 1490\, u
ses stiacciato low relief\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	The Pietà (Italian: [maˈdɔnn
	a della pjeˈta]\; \"[Our Lady of] Pity\"\; 1498–1499) is a Carrara marb
le sculpture of Jesus and Mary at Mount Golgotha representing the \"Sixth
	Sorrow\" of the Virgin Mary  in Saint Peter's Basilica\, Vatican City\, f
or which it was made.\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	 Madonna of Bruges was the first s
culpture by Michelangelo to leave Italy during his lifetime. In 1504\, it
was bought by Giovanni and Alessandro Moscheroni (Mouscron) for 100 ducats
. The Mouscron brothers were wealthy cloth merchants in Bruges\n\n\n\n	\n\
n\n\n	The Medici Madonna is a marble sculpture measuring about 88.98 inche
s (226 cm) in height. Dating from 1521 to 1534\, the sculpture is a piece
of the altar decoration of the Sagrestia Nuova( the New Sacristy and the M
edici Chapel) in the Basilica of San Lorenzo\, Florence\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	R
achel is a sculpture of the Old Testament figure Rachel. it was part of th
e final\, 1542–1545 design for the tomb of Pope Julius II in San Pietro
in Vincoli\, on which it is present at the time this photo was taken.\n\n\
n\n	\n\n\n\n	The tomb of Giuliano de' Medici\, Duke of Nemours\, is a scul
ptural and architectural complex in marble (650x470 cm)  datable to 1524-
1534 and part of the decoration of the New Sacristy in San Lorenzo in Flor
ence.\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	 \n\n\n\n	Built in a cloister of the Medicean Basi
lica di San Lorenzo di Firenze  the library was built to emphasize that t
he Medici were no longer just merchants but members of intelligent and ecc
lesiastical society. It contains the manuscripts and books belonging to th
e private library of the Medici family. The library was designed by Michel
angelo and is an example of Mannerism\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	 \n\n\n\n	Madonna
	del Silenzio\n\n	c. 1538\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n	 \n\n\n\n	Cleopatra\n\n\n\n	bla
