HE CRAFT are in the challenge in @CRArtisanCraftshttps://www.deviantart.co
	m/hddeviant/journal/Earth-Day-Challenge-Measure-a-Tree-1321823849 I used m
y Clinometer and other tools\, ALL EXPLAINED BELOW IN PROCESS\, and got th
	e following.EYEHEIGHT=69.5 inchesDISTANCE=247 inchesANGLE=53 degreesEYEHEI
	GHT+(DISTANCE*Tan(90-ANGLE))=255.627850375 inchesThe tree is 21.3023208646

e hundred and eighty degrees\, needs the origin hole\, it is midway of the
	 baseline ]straight rulerpencolored pencilsstringcointapesewing measuring
tapeCRAFT INSTRUCTIONSColor the cardboard\, the background colorPlace the
protractor on the cardboardHold the protractor in place with your hand on
the cardboard.Use the pencil to draw the outline of half the protractor [D
on't move the protractor when finished]start as the ninety degree mark on
the scale\, the scale is where the angles are presentdraw towards the zero
degree mark on the scale till you reach the straight edge of the protract
or [ OPTIONAL some protractors straight edge is at the baseline\, the stra
ight line from the zero degree to the one hundred and eighty degree ]draw
up along the straight edge to the origin [the origin is the midway point o
f the baseline\, some protractors don't have the baseline as the straight
edge of the protractor\, and have the straight edge some distance to be a
ruler\, so best guess]Use the pencil and note the angles from ninety to ze
ro [you don't have to do every single angle\, it can just be 90\,85\,80\,.
.. to 15\,10\,5\,0 ]Use the pencil to make the origin holeRemove the protr
actor from the cardboardUse the ruler to make a straight line from the nin
ety degree mark to the origin pointcolor inside some graphic\, like the su
n or a treemark the degrees on the inside of the quarter circlecut out the
figuremake an indent where the origin point iscut a long piece of string
[three feet is ok but I used five]tie string about coinuse tape to connect
coin to stringUSING THE CRAFTGet DISTANCE\, Find out the height from the
ground to your eye [ i used a measuring tape\, but you can use a straight
ruler\, [ Note: you can get help from another to make this better]Get EYEH
EIGHT\, Whatever you want the height from mark the distance from where it
meets the ground to where you will stand[ note: same as above\, get help i
f need be]Get ANGLE\,using your simple clinometer\, stand the distance fro
m the objecthang the weight using the string at the indent of the origin\,
try to place it at your eye height and when you look forward you see the
indent straight aheas\, make it as level as possible. The string should po
int downward at zero degrees.keeping the ninety degree at your eye turn up
ward till you are looking at the top of whatever you want to measure and r
ecord the angle [where the string dangles\, at your eye straight up is nin
ety degree and straight forward is zero degrees]Get APPROXHEIGHT \, Use th
	e following algorithm\, EYEHEIGHT+(DISTANCE*Tan(90-ANGLE)) \, use a calcul
atorI REPEAT - the photographed treeEYEHEIGHT=69.5 inchesDISTANCE=247 inch
