  1. Hi Joan WOW! Congrats!!! I sure hope you stay here! I too am a born again Christian and for many years. I love researching WORLD TRUTH and that is what Jesus Christ is all about--He is the truth, the way and the light! He came to save the world. I love that you are searching the scriptures for the presence of hidden history when it comes to the 'Black' presence in the world and i the ancient Biblical world! LOL! You know I think that was me! I wrote and shared research on Sorghatani, the Keraite woman! I think I did write about her about 2 years ago. Oh yes, and I have much more on that score!

  2. That woman is a quitter. She GAVE UP (conceded) even despite the evidence of voter fraud, voter disenfranchisement, and other irregularities. Like most Democrats....she folded. She had the opportunity to become the Governor of Georgia and solidify that state as a center of AfroAmerican political and economic success...and blew it. I can't have too much confidence in people like her and that brother from Florida (Andrew Gillum) who also gave up and let Desantis take the Governor's spot. If you won't even fight for your own benefit, I can't expect you to fight for mine.

  3. True, but the challenge is getting the teachers capable of teaching students to think and who are willing to work under the conditions we subject public school teachers to. @Pioneer1 we will continue to disagree on the motivations of the leadership of our political parties. You feel they are dominated by white racist, I feel they're dominated by people interested in enriching themselves. Racism, so-called 'wedge" issues, and everything else are just tools used by the oligarchs to maintain power over, and extract wealth from the masses.

  4. Joan, The ancient city of Ephesus was in the western portion of what is now Turkey. The city's most prominent feature was the temple of Artemis. The rebuilt structure stood in the first century when the Apostle Paul visited the city. According to some historians, the original temple had been set on fire by Herostratus in 356 B.C. I hope you join the Discussion board. Note to editors: The map is from Pinterest.

  5. Chevdove, Most Bible scholars do agree that Simeon of Cyrene and Simeon of Niger are the same individual.

  8. @Troy This is so true! I live over here by one of Tyler Perry's sprawling compounds and there's is no need for me to venture into Atlanta unless I go to the symphony. I do like Midtown but I don't care to drive there. If there were adequate transportation throughout Atlanta Metro it would be an ideal place to live but most counties don't want "Atliens" in their suburbs. So there's always a fight when it comes to funding public transportation. We currently have one bus system here in Douglasville and people protested that so I doubt it will be renewed. I'm not a "southern" woman - nor am I a "traditional" black woman. So besides my Sorors here - I've made two friends in the 7 years I've lived here. It is difficult to find women with the same mindset - (and even with our founders day tomorrow - I feel like an outsider from them). So, I feel lucky to have at least one or two people to hang out with here. By the way I learned the county I live in was founded in 1870 and named for Frederick Douglass. It was allegedly changed to Douglas for "Stephen Douglas" when the southern democrats rose to power. smh @FerociousKitty welcome back! I came to the board just as you left. I ran into Troy at our HS homecoming that year (2010) and I've been a "forum fly" ever since. I lived in Wheeling, WV for 10 years. And yes, I know what you mean about Pittsburgh. It felt like a weird climate to me. At times the racism was stifling then all of a sudden it's kum bah yah. I was fortunate enough to sign with Donna Belajac Casting, Docherty Model and Talent and got a record deal with Tom Cossie's Saturn Records. I spent a lot of time driving up and down I-70. I finally ended up as a News Anchor/Reporter for WTRF-TV (Wheeling Steubenville) . Some of my coworkers got a job at KDKA and WTAE-TV So, Pittsburgh felt like a second home. Much success on your upcoming release. I look forward to reading your author's page.
