  1. A Stolen Election? (Garland Gregory, retired professor of political science, author of “The New Breed Reparations Sanctuary", a novel) A simple analysis shows that the claim of this election being “stolen” is a dishonest representation of the true sentiments of the protesters: 1) The defeated Confederacy (after the Civil War) committed itself to denying voting rights to African Americans no matter what level of intimidation and violence was necessary. 2) Dixie-Democrats of the 1970s began to abandon the Democratic Party because of its official support and interference with southern suppression of African American voting rights. 3) The Republican Party (especially during the 1980s) invited the former Dixie-Democrats into their fold and soon began to prioritize new tactics for African American voter suppression like gerrymandering, voter ID schemes, registration impediments, etc. 4) African American (and other) voter turnout for 2020 essentially nullified Republican efforts to suppress the vote (a strategy they have long cynically denied). And, as it is not PC to admit to a failed goal of voter suppression, protesters have turned to the convenient and dishonest “voter fraud” mantra to explain and justify their outrage. Bottom Line: THE STOLEN ELECTION CLAIM IS PRETENSE. MOST TRULY KNOW THAT THE ELECTION WAS NOT STOLEN. THE BROADER CONSERVATIVE WORLDVIEW IS THAT AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE NOT ENTITLED TO POLITICAL POWER, and that GOD said so.

  4. Looking for a fast-paced post apocalyptic adventure? Here you go. One hundred years after the Collapse, violence still rages across the region once known as Georgia. Warlords fight for control with deadly mercenaries known as Gunmen, and Moses Pritchard is one of the best. Tired of the constant violence, he finds solace within the walls of Newlanta, a city struggling to establish an island of peace amidst the chaos. But now the city is threatened by a powerful warlord Moses once served and he is forced to strap on his guns. However, this time he's fighting for his own reasons. 'Gunman's Peace is my flavor of post-apocalyptic fantasy. Moses Pritchard, hero in charge, is noble enough to make you root for him and bad enough to keep villains on their toes―if they survive at all. An added bonus were the plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Gunman's Peace is a wild ride readers won't want to miss.' -Valjeanne Jeffers, author of the Mona Livelong and Immortal series Order today and receive a signed copy! 5. The AALBC.com Bestselling Book, Different and the Same by Adijah & Atiya Brabham, has been republished TODAY in a larger format — great for reading with a child. It also sports AALBC Bestseller’s seal! Making a bestsellers list is always a good thing. Over the last 24 years AALBC has had over 1,400 bestselling books. Interestingly, most authors fail to exploit the achievement, so it is refreshing to see it happen. Adijah and Atiya went the extra step of actually printing the bestseller on the latest version of their book. Some authors apply the stickers. Because most authors/publishers don't do this I'm always extra supportive of those that do! It is a goo way to get some free promotion out of AALBC. I'll be offering a deal on this book shortly

  6. Bookshop.org has exploited the recent desire of readers to support Black-owned indie booksellers. Many Black-owned independents were unable to sell books on the web, or scale up to meet the increase in demand, by readings interested in supporting Black-owned bookstores on the heals of the George Floyd public execution. Bookshop.org; through deceptive and misleading tactics have managed to convince too many book buyers that by buying books through Bookshop.org that they are supporting Black-owned independent booksellers. One example, was the case where Oprah Magazine published an article in which 12 popular authors mentioned their favorite Black-owned bookstore. The article also mentioned books published by the authors. Orpah Magazine provided buy links for these book -- to the author's favorite bookstore -- instead the article linked to Bookshop.org -- failing to benefit a single Black-owned store with new business, but sending that business to benefit white-owned bookstores! Obviously Oprah Magazine was attempting to support the Black-owned booksellers. AALBC was one of the favorite bookstores mentioned. How did Oprah Magazine fail? It is easy to understand, because Bookshop deliberately misleads the public. They are making a of money as a result -- much of this revenue coming at the expense of web Black-owned booksellers with websites. This used to be called carpetbagging. Bookshop claims they share a portion of their revenues with indie booksellers, but the vast majority of these stores are white owned. Look, there is nothing inherently wrong with a white-owned business supporting other white owned business; this is America after all Where I have a serious problem is Bookshop.org positioning themselves as helping Black-owned booksellers. Bookshop does not help Black-owned booksellers. Bookshop is doing everything in their power to take profits from brick and mortar independents and to kill web based booksellers, like AALBC. Bookshop made their intentions crystal clear when said they would share profits from sales with ABA members, who are virtually all white, except AALBC.com! They excluded AALBC.com on the grounds that AALBC is a online only bookseller. At the time, I did not fully appreciate what this meant, because Bookshop.org was new and we were months away from the incredible show of support readers have shown Black-owned booksellers. Bookshop.org has benefited more than any Black-owned independent bookstore, during this period of social unrest, because they are slick. They preyed upon, and exploited Black-owned stores without significant web presence. I currently boycott Amazon, but Bookshop is worse than Amazon, because Amazon makes their goal plain -- maximizing profits. Bookshop's mission is based upon making the public believe they are a conscious alternative to Amazon and supportive of Black-owned independents. They are not. Bookshop.org is another web-based bookseller who has cleverly exploited a gimmick to make buyers believe they are supportive of all other indie booksellers. I will use my platforms and influence to make sure my customers (readers, authors, and publishers) understand that supporting Bookshop in NOT a substitute for support indie web-based booksellers -- certainly not AALBC.

  8. @Troy You do know the chairman of the Proud Boys identifies as Afro-Cuban. According to reports, the "stop the steal" campaign leader is Ali Akbar, now known as Ali Alexander. He identifies as Black, Christian, and Arab... This group is somewhat diverse. What unites them is what behaviorists call "toxic masculinity." Many say they admire 45* and believe he's the most masculine president in history.
