  1. Commentary: Obama Wants the ‘Contest of Ideas’ Rigged https://tennesseestar.com/2022/04/18/commentary-obama-wants-the-contest-of-ideas-rigged/ "Never mind that he rose to power as a manipulative acolyte of Saul Alinsky, the famously amoral Chicago activist who endorsed disinformation as a tool of “community organizing.”" "Obama’s definition of “disinformation,” which he ponderously presented at a recent Chicago powwow on the subject, conforms perfectly to the Alinskyite “rules for radicals” that launched his career: “a systematic effort to either promote false information, to suppress true information, for the purpose of political gain, financial gain, enhancing power, suppressing others, targeting those you don’t like.”" "Obama’s monumentally hypocritical posturing about disinformation follows a familiar pattern of leftists: they gain power by trafficking in disinformation; they try and stay in power by denouncing it." "By “disinformation,” Obama means any journalism that impedes liberal propaganda." "The conference’s stated concern about the “erosion of democracy” amounts to liberal anger at a shrinking media monopoly." "He learned from Alinsky that the best defense for dirty tricks is to accuse your opponents of them." "He wallowed in an Alinskyite culture of disinformation for decades, tricking the middle class into mistaking revolution for harmless change."

  2. Hi @mama i almost did not approve your account and after seeing this post I’n pretty sure that I made a mistake. I happen to be in Cape Town and recognize the country code so I decided to see what you wanted to share here. From my perspective, what you’ve posted reads like a classic scam; designed to separate desperate, vulnerable people from their money giving them nothing but false hope and disappointment in return. Sidebar: @Stefan I actually do engage in a form of censorship by determining who gets an account and which guest posts are approved. Most accounts are rejected and most guest posts are not approved. The vast majority are clearly spam, some like mama’s don’t become apparent until they post.

  3. Yes. It is possible for a *financially successful* person to believe in democratic socialism. The meaning of success and rich varies from one person to another. While a handful of folks have become wealthy in the modern era, wealth is usually built and handed down over several generations. Nordic countries have practiced a form of socialism that seems to work for them. Canada does well with it too. I believe socialism works in places where racism is a non-issue. For example, the people of Sweden are going to take care of each other. The US is a mixed economy nation built on a legacy of slavery and racism which makes it complicated.

  4. Ha ha ha! Nels is at it again. The Tennessee Star is supposedly a local newspaper that is five years old. But it is actually financed by right wing toadies Steve Brill and Michael Patrick Leahy. Um, in March 2019, Steve Brill was put in jail briefly for refusing to pay $170,000 in child support to his ex-wife. The conservative commentator has since resigned as political editor of the Star and from the board of its parent company, Star News Digital Editor. Now, this is a guy you'd don't want to get in a church pulpit and deliver sermons on morality and family life. Oh, and Star News Digital? It's main goal is to produce Websites that use “the appearance of local newspapers to promote messages paid for or supported by outside or undisclosed interests," according to investigative Website snopes dot com. Dang, this means Steve Bill's outside and undisclosed interests could be The Borg. They are gray, bad automatons who turn up their implants at fried chicken and pizza. Shame on him! But at least the aliens communicated to Brill that the whole Hunter Biden laptop story could indeed be a Russian hoax. I don't think that's the case with the $2 billion the Saudis gifted Jared Kushner. That is real and is not just the tip of the GOP financial corruption iceberg. It's the edge of an illegal GOP payoff spreadsheet. Michael Patrick Leahy is one of the founders of The Tea Party, those funny folks who paraded around in Colonial Era garb and Revolutionary war hats after Obama demolished John McCain in the 2008 general election. They were fond of screaming: "We want our country back!" at the intelligent and gifted Black man in the White House, which believe it or not, was actually built by Black Slaves. Who were also intelligent and gifted enough to follow detailed construction plans. Too bad the Tea Party members demanded their country come back to them. Because they never understood that it never went anywhere. It was still between Canada and Mexico and two rather big oceans, but kinda delirious over the election of its first Black President. Back to you, Nels.
