frankster If that is what we are speaking about then every continent has wars... But that's not what we're speaking about. We're speaking about whether or not Africa is a continent of tolerance where differences are accepted and different ethnic groups get along amicably as you claim. Clearly...they do not. My Point is to refute your implications... And WHAT are my "implications"???? When it comes to violence and intolerance.....Africa historical is Fifth out of Seven - and currently Asia has more wars than Africa So? Does having LESS violence mean it's a place of peace and tolerance? Does killing LESS people than the next man means a person is NOT a killer? I can list Genocides that happen in other continents.... Africa is not the only Continent that experience Genocide. Ok? Again, because other continents experience this does that make Africa a continent of peace and tolerance? Because THAT'S the message you've been TRYING to convey for weeks now. There is fighting and killings going on in at least 5 or 6 of the 7 continents... Whats your point???? My point is that you're WRONG. Africa is NOT a place where differences are well tolerated and people get along with eachother amicably. I already know what?? Right now, you already know you've lost the argument so now you're trying to muddy it up and cause confusion...lol.1 point

Humanity has been what it is for thousands of years. IMO, individually, how we choose to live our lives, experiences gained and contributions made in making life better for others is the best we can do.1 point

@richardmurray Sorry I'm just seeing this. I'm intrigued with Mrs. Aniku Pandaj, Mr. Fono Pandaj, and Gryphon Pandaj. Aniku's jacket and shoes caught my attention, and I love that Gryphon Pandaj is a mixture of the parents.1 point

ABOUT THE NEW VOICES AWARD from @Lee and Low Books Established in 2000, the New Voices Award is given biennially to an unpublished writer of color or Native/Indigenous writer for a picture book manuscript. Manuscripts may be FICTION, NON-FICTION, or POETRY for children ages 5 to 12. Manuscripts should address the needs of children of color or Native/Indigenous children by providing stories with which they can identify and relate, and which promote a greater understanding of one another. Themes relating to different family structures, gender identity, LGBTQ+ communities, or disabilities are also of interest. The submission period for entry will begin on April 1, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time and will end on June 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. New Voices Award winners receive a standard publication contract, including Lee & Low Books’s basic royalties and an advance in the amount of $5,000. Winners are also given close publishing mentorship as they work to develop their first book for publication. Nurturing manuscripts takes time, and Lee & Low’s commitment to this contest represents over two decades of dedication. We ask for the same commitment and courtesy from applicants.
