. I think however religion can be spiritual, indeed it should be.
It can be, but religion is externally based and has tenets that dictate your path. Spiritually is internally based, and DIVINITY reveals ITSELF as you journey.

Troy, you have excellent editorial and publishing insights. I'm still blown away by the science you dropped on the Wall Street Journal platform. You held us rapt - and that included the other panelists and host. There is NO ONE but you sharing insight on the future of Black people publishing - and we need it now more than ever, especially with the juggernaut that is am*zon.com. By the way, you've taught us through your knowledge how to work with am*zon instead of having am*zon work us. You already do the deep dive into the statistics -if you make it fun for Tik Tok your audience will grow - and by association, so will Black publishers and authors.

The article refers to Ms. Dillon like she was an afterthought smh. I hope you will follow up on your post here and Interview her! Seriously, that would be “so dope!”

Sanyu Dillon, Black Executive CMO Alliance Founding Member, will head up Random House Publishing. According to the New York Times, the publishing company's former chief marketing officer will now lead Random House, the Dial Press, and One World imprints. One World is described as having a multicultural focus. And its editor-in-chief, Chris Jackson, has worked with literary luminaries such as Ta-Nehisi Coates, the civil rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson and emcee Jay Z. From Forbes, "Dillon is also extremely passionate about driving inclusiveness in publishing, which is why she launched, "All Ways Black" a community and platform that celebrates Black literature. Ok....
So who are the Tricks being turned out????Sadly the “tricks” are W-2s AKA employees in this system.
Thank goodness for collective bargaining agreements and some federal laws that help protect workers.
But there are some workplaces where employers have practices in place that allow them to charge workers for employment.
Let’s not forget the penal system where slavery is still legal in some states. Propers to the state governments that have banned the practice.
If you are interested in identifying the “tricks“ under this system review state laws and U.S. Code.
@Delano is correct. The U.S. founders desired freedom for themselves. But they intended to pimp out “others” for their personal gain.

I shared this to an offline friend, they went into a negative rant on him:
Interesting. So, your friend has a personal relationship with Eric Benet?
I intentionally left blank the man to-woman and woman-to-man “love” song categories. Some are great sing/alongs but none rise to the level of favorite.
Eric Benet and Tamia’s “spend my life” feels like the songwriters lived those words.

LyricsI never knew such a day could come
And I never knew such a love could be inside of one
I never knew what my life was for
But now that you're here, I know for sureI never knew 'til I looked in your eyes (oh, baby)
I was incomplete 'til the day you walked into my life, ooh
And I never knew that my heart could feel
So precious and pure, our love is so realCan I just see you every morning when I open my eyes
Can I just feel your heart beating beside me every night
Can we just feel this way together 'til the end of all time
Can I just spend my life with youNow baby the days and the weeks and the years will roll by
But nothing will change the love inside of you and I
And baby I'll never find any words that could explain
Just how much my heart, my life, my soul, you've changedCan you run to these open arms
When no one else understands
Can we tell God and the whole world
I'm your woman, and you're my man
Can't you just feel how much I love you
With one touch of my hand
Can I just spend my life with youNo touch has ever felt so wonderful (you are incredible)
And no deeper love I've never known (I'll never let you go)
I swear this love is true (now and forever to you)
Only for you (to you)Can I just see you every morning when I open my eyes
Can I just feel your heart beating beside me every night
Can we just feel this way together 'til the end of all time
Can I just spend my life with youCan you run to these open arms
When no one else understands
Can we tell God and the whole world
You're my woman, and you're my man
Can't you just feel how much I love you
With one touch of my hand
Can I just spend my life with you
Can I just spend my life with you
Forever here with you

Even AI acknowledges that it requires human input.
@ProfDDid you skip over the part when Chat states "MACHINE LEARNING" as its level of programming?...
I stated you were partially correct in your assessment but once you go further you'll notice the definition of DEEP LEARNING programming. The terms are NOT interchangeable.
Deep learning doesn't require human input. CHAT was very specific.
https://www.ibm.com/topics/deep-learning
I posted the link to Columbia U's curriculum and their explanation of deep learning. -And here's one https://www.ibm.com/topics/deep-learning from IBM. IBM uses plain talk about neural networks - and how AI is able to learn on its own. These engineers are putting this information in plain sight - but we can ignore them at our own peril.

Soon they won't be able to pull the plug. We made this "monster" to make life "easier" but AI will never match human ingenuity.

- Deep Learning is an “advanced method of machine learning but uses neural networks that function like a human brain to logically analyze data to learn complex patterns and make predictions independent of human input” (Columbia University)1 hour ago, Troy said:What is missing is sentience which may bring on a desire to self-sustain, but this is the stuff of science fiction,
How would we be able to tell the difference.
Humans do all kinds of illogical things for self-sustainability.
BUT AI makes and would take logical actions to to protect its "life". In fact, the chat already worked to prove its value by answering questions pulling from available information from various databases quicker than any human. The difference between The Chat and any human is that it doesn't care if it makes mistakes - but will learn from those errors in the time you take to ask it the same question. While @ProfD is partially correct AI begins with programming and algorithms, however - it doesn't continue to "learn" that way ... Once it begins it continues to refine its "knowledge" and adds to it.
I think many of us forget how much data is actually available. But most AI embedded software counts on it.
In fact, my client's AGMAS (Acoustic Gun Monitoring Alert System) protocol employs AI Machine Learning, Deep Learning... AGMAS teaches itself to do real-time navigation to evacuate bystanders in mass-shooting event... There's no time to program or restructure an algorithms because it is a new event. Below is a quote from my client, the inventor. He has a doctorate in computer and electrical engineering. He specializes in MIMO-OFDM (wireless LANS).Quote“AGMAS combines the benefits of high-tech and low-tech navigational techniques into novel and high-precision indoor navigation. AGMAS leverages a low-tech inertial navigation unit (INS) commonly used in maritime navigation to track relative positioning without GPS. Our AI deep learning modules fuse those sensor measurements with fine and coarse real-time range positioning afforded by UWB (Ultra Wideband) and NvisiLink to produce an indoor navigation 10X more accurate than leading commercial products available today.”
All in all - I'm excited about AI - we use it more in our daily lives than most people are aware.

WHAT about @Mel Hopkins?
Here! Hi lovely!
Nope! I have no patience for gender issues. I’ve grown tired of some men trying to dictate a woman’s partnership choices. It’s a waste of time.
If those men were so concerned. They would simply show up be present and stay put. Anything less, is lip-service, bitchin’ and moanin’.

Each play cost $2, So you'd need to spend over $584,000,000. The lump-sum payout is $929.1 million before federal and local taxes. But since you're already a multimillionaire or billionaire you would probably pay taxes based on your tax bracket. BUT there are other prizes too -so maybe you'll do a little better than break even. That is, if someone else or a lot of other people didn't pick the same winning numbers. lol -
I got my copy and started reading it yesterday. My only challenge is the first chapter is so sad that I had to put it down.
Don’t get me wrong.
It is precisely the type of news item I would follow in the Washington Post and the New York Times.
The rich storytelling is similar to the Black women mainstream journalists I follow. I love how they flesh out stories from a place of “knowing.”
I think reading “Running to Fall” is tricky because I feel like I’m reading this story coverage from a place of pain.
And now that I read my own words - I can see Kalisha Buckhanon’s brilliance in storytelling.
Bravo!

This is counterintuitive given the coverage of the state.
Oh snap!
So the “media” never thought to interview anyone Black about how easy it is to vote in Florida? This pisses me off! I’m over here in (purple state) Georgia, where it is also easy to vote, track my voting record and register to vote too.
Well, now gerrymandering makes sense. If politicians pick their voters then why wouldn’t they want to make it easy for the constituents to cast their ballots!

Independent Authors and Small Publishers I found " The Other Madisons " by Bettye Kearse through the duck duck go search engine. I was looking for an African/Black authoritative voice on the meaning of Griot/Griottes, which led me to the author's website. Ms. Kearse gives a detailed definition and a book recommendation. Although the domain name and the author's name are the same, I rarely stumble upon personal websites with such strong SEO that land on the search engine's first page. So, if your SEO game is strong, forget what I said about publishing a website for each title. If you have a website promoting your book -be sure to fill it with helpful information, and it will help you bring attention to your book(s), and you'll sell books too.
