  1. @Rodney campbellWhat is the origin of the "bad people" you refer to? Are they a part of what already is? Why should i be motivated to strive for positivity since everything is predetermined? Should i just chill and let nature take its course? I'm too weary and jaded to "study for approval".
  2. I'd take this any day Yum as opposed to what pioneer is Yuk
  3. @Dee Millersince you are new to the board the above quotes are a good example of pioneer's twisted MO. He's also good for a lot of laughs especially when he posts pictures of himself in drag.
  4. @Pioneer1What's the difference between "not absolutely" and "various degrees of"? You really think no post is complete unless you make some insipid remark.
  5. Not surprisingly, i reject pioneer's self serving contention that our argument was not a debate. As in all debates there is a pro argument and a con argument, and each side states its case. (This procedure occurs on a regular basis in the U.S. Supreme court where the majority opinion rules.) At the risk of being repetitive, this debate is also a text book example of how semantics come into play, something implicit in Dee Miller's observations. What also comes into play are personalities and pioneer can always be depended upon by word or deed to try and prove what he gives no evidence of, which is that he is the "smartest person in the room". To do otherwise would deflate his bloated ego and inflated sense of self esteem, something that can be traced to a deeper psychosis. Del and I, in essence, agreed to disagree which is moreorless a draw siince we never really declared either of ourselves the winner. But pioneer persisted because he imagines that this forum is a stage, and he desperately wants the audience of lurkers to look upon him as a super star rather than the mundane mope that he is. He obviously ruminated all week long and then grasping at the straws afloat in his wet dreams, reappears on this thread, pouncing on one of the definitions of "multiple", - another being a number that can be divided by another number without a remainder, something 3 isn't. Context, context! What was also a blatant example of pioneer's inadequacies were his usual straw man distortions, false equivalencies, non sequiturs and ad hominem attacks. And It really says a lot about how illogical his thinking is to say i didn't get past 2nd grade when he in his playground mentality bites his fingernails trying to best me. zzzzzzz @Dee MillerYour analysis was a valid one, particularly because it wasn't the rant of a numbskull whose head it will go right over because he is unable to think in the abstract. Thank you for your input!
  6. As an aside, when the German people were asked why they didn't overthrow Hitler, their response was: "vee vere goot Germans!" That's what patriotism is, ( and fascism is patriotism on steroids.) Once the masses are persuaded to believe it's "us" against "them", then they are willing to fight wars taking pride in believing that they are the "good guys". or in the case of elite street gangs, the "bad mutha fuckas". During the Civil War, young sons of the South couldn't wait to take up arms against the Yankees to fight for what they believed it. Up North, not so much. There wasn't a lot of enthusiasm among the rank and file to go risk their lives to end slavery. That, of course, why there were draft riots to protest being involuntarily inducted into the military. During WW2, Eisenhower sacrificed the lives of thousands of red blooded white boys, sending wave after wave of them into the waiting German fire power on Omaha beach where they were slaughtered. Black guys were shuffled behind the lines, mostly assigned to burial details because their segregated units weren't considered reliable or "battle ready", something they simply shrugged off, just glad to be spared having their brains blown out. Five years after this quest to make the world safe for democracy ended , America was back in the thick of the Korean conflict which took another terrible toll on the lives of young Americans sent to their deaths by old men in suits and ties. I speak from memory. Men fight wars because they are natural aggressors and they will find excuses to invade territories and kill each other. What somebody once said about the eternal conflict referred to in the bible as "wars and rumors of wars"., was this: "we have met the enemy, and he is us". Mere mortals think they have all the answers. But they don't.
  7. LOL If Americans had been humane to begin with, there wouldn't have been any slavery. You can't lose something that you never had. Which came first? The chicken or the egg? "Man's inhumanity to man" didn't begin in America.
  8. I'm thinking but I don't believe there were any more geniuses in the field than anywhere else. Slavery didn't rob America of that much. it robbed black people of a chance to immigrate to the promised land and the oppportunity to achieve the American dream.
  9. Well, the rumor on the Internet is that those cops were all members of a tactical unit called the Scorpion Squad. This special group which, as a result of this incident, has since been disbanded, was formed to keep traffic arrests from getting out of control, and the reason why things went off the rails was because one of the cops, Demetrius Haley, had a beef against the victim because his ex who he has a baby with was involved with Tyre who had a new baby with a white girl who may or may or may not be Haley's ex. it was typical ghetto baby momma BS. And the cops all stuck together. The black female Police Chief ended up in Memphis after being fired from her post in Atlanta. supposedly. i've never in my life been stopped by a policeman. My grandson has been stopped by white cops a couple of times for speeding but they always let him go when they find out he's a fire fighter . Another grandson was arrested for speeding and not having insurance, and at the station, the white cops kept him supplied with cigarettes and MacDonalds, marveling over how polite and cooperative he was. He was released the next morning on his own recognizance, These were not Chicago cops because we live in the suburbs. My granddaughter is a cop with the Cook County Sheriff department but she is off the street, involved with hostage and suicide cases. Just depends. We always cautioned our boys to keep your hands on the steering wheel and address the cops as "Officer". Disarm them with courtesy. Sometimes it works. Not all the time, obviously.
  10. What I wonder is - does AI have the potential to be a modern day version of the Emerald Tablets???????? Somebody ask chatgpt who will win the Super Bowl!
  11. Capitalism is a system where wealth separates the haves from the have-nots. The have-nots are enslaved by their poverty but if they are enterprising enough, they can earn their freedom, one step at a time. When the quest for freedom becomes a mass movement, it bogs down.
  12. @Pioneer13 ain't MULTIPLE to me. And those are not really different meanings of evidence, they are variations of the same thing and are interchangeable with the noun "proof". And a synonym is not a definition; it is a single word that means the same thing as another word. Here again, we are dealing with semantics and interpretations. That's why i hesitated to argue further because we have different mind sets. (i did forget that in a debate, you never let your opponent supply the definitions.) @Pioneer1Who cares what it sounds like to you? It would be different if you came across as a winner. But you don't.
  13. And of course, you are an authority on black men - in your dreams. "Inadequate" is quite an accurate term when you consider who controls the world, and this country.
  14. @Pioneer1That's not true. Speak for yourself. For instance. what are the other meanings of evidence? What is the the first synonym listed for it? Also i emphasized that I am talking about the intrinsic value of the 2 nouns "proof" and "evidence" when they stand alone, Once again, like the strawman that you are. you have restated the case so you can supply your own answer. And you're judging the exchange between Del and me by the way you interact with us. As for Del, unlike you, he's secure enough in his manhood, to concede a point.
  15. Fortunately for me, you don't know what you're talking about because, as a straw man, you rely on your skewed imagination, all in an effort to detract from your inadequacies.
  16. @Pioneer1What a slippery eel you are, always switching gears, creating scenarios that cast you as a mental giant. Not. I explained that my stance was based on how I think, and I acknowledged that Del's thought processes were different from mine, something I accepted with a "so be it", and he and I resolved our differences like civilized people. But you were choppin' at the bit, ready to butt in and discredit Del before attempting to make yourself look good by presenting the specious arguments that would foil me. Now you're ruminating with frustration because Del and i have moved on, leaving you to stew in your own juices The more you whine, the better Del looks because he realized that the concept of semantics accepts that there are 2 sides to every question, depending on how you interpret language, - something that seems to have gone over your head because you are so immersed in your infallibility. tsk-tsk
  17. @Pioneer1Since I am not a distant cousin of yours, thank goodness, i am left to deduce that the woman you describe in such detail is someone near and dear to you.
  18. @Pioneer1Yes, and I really appreciate you posting those pictures from your portfolio so i don't have to track them down.
  19. @Pioneer1Is that a sample of your "dissin" me? Go back to the drawing board' i only had a backlog of about 10 messages. I am, however, curious as to whom you are describing. is she related to you?
  20. Having just checked the Emerald Tablets, ive learned that pioneer was the secret winner of the Madea look alike contest, Tyler Perry sponsored for charity. ( He also posed as a charity case. later) i must admit he deserved to win. How ya like me now, Cynique?
  21. @Pioneer1LMAO Get outta here. You do not intimidate me in the least. Being dissed by you is not some thing that will have an impact on me because i place very little redibility to anything you say.
  22. Ooooh puleese. You were not totally agreeing with what i said about DNA, fingerprints, etc, because you proceeded to put your spin on what I said in an attempt to discredit it,
  23. @Pioneer1"Important" is not the word; i said "irrelevant" and i meant "irrelevant". But what other response could i expect from a straw man prone to false equivalencies?
  24. Again your inflated ego surfaces and motivates you to think that i am "pretending" not to agree with what you said. Not true. Everything you stated, was debatable as far as i'm concerned. If that wasn't my position, i would've never entered this discussion. Again i say it's all about semantics.
