Brothers and sisters just don't want to sacrifice what's needed to obtain a formal college education; which could grant near vindication of criminal backgrounds. But some sacrifice, like or not, is required to say you, at least, tried. Even if you ultimately fail. Changing lifestyles, habits, or environments are keys towards making a personal difference, whether you have what it takes to survive is simply a matter of how much work you put into change. Entrepreneurship is only way to go if you're a Black ex-felon newly released from prison/jail.
Writing books is not only a respectable career, it's a way to make some quick cash. Subscribe to Black websites such as AALBC for insights on writing books, go-to guides for how to write, publish, and promote sales. After all, Being Black is having a lot of stories to tell people.
