Florida Governor: Black History has NO educational value

Recommended Posts

According to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the history of the Black Race in the U.S. has no educational value and should not be taught.

This must come as a surprise to all the closet Republicans in these Discussion groups. It must also be a kick in the shorts to those with blinders on who claim Florida can't be racist because the state has a population that is diverse, beaches and lots and lots of sun.

DeSantis administration rejects Advanced Placement course in African American Studies

The rejection of an Advanced Placement African American Studies course follows efforts by DeSantis to overhaul Florida’s educational curriculum to limit teaching about critical race theory.

In 2021, Florida passed a law that banned teaching the concept, which explores the history of systemic racism in the United States and its continued impacts. The law also banned material from The 1619 Project, a Pulitzer Prize-winning project by The New York Times to reframe American history around the arrival of slave ships on American shores. In 2022, DeSantis also signed a bill restricting how schools can talk about race with students, according to CNN.

What does one expect from the administration of a White guy, who when facing Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum in the gubernatorial race, he insulted his opponent's Blackness by actually warning Florida voters: "Don't monkey this up."

DeSantis has also claimed, with no proof, that ISIS was recruiting from Black Lives Matter and believes the Three Fifths Compromise was a good thing. For those who forgot their middle school history, The Three Fifths Compromise was reached at the 1787 Constitutional Convention and determined that every enslaved American would be counted as three-fifths of a person for taxation and representation purposes. This agreement gave the Southern states more electoral power than they would have had if the enslaved population had been ignored entirely.

I wonder what this schmuck will come up with when he runs for the White House in 2024.

But some Black people have the frigging nerve to defend this racist jerk.

Well, the GOP will definitely be lining up to support him especially if they believe he has a chance of keeping former POTUS 45 out the White House.

Hopefully, 1) DeStupid doesn't run in 2024 or 2) a less conservative candidate gets the GOP nomination.

Let's also hope the governance of Florida is not a microcosm of the sociopolitical future of the United States.😎

Now where are all of these "closet Republicans"  that you speak of?

Nearly all of the Republicans that I know of on this site (Nels and Coggins/Daniellegfny immediately come to mind)are ADMITTEDLY Republican and don't hide that fact.

Rod DeSantis isn't a dictator, he operates as executive of an entire state government made up of people of all races.
There are plenty of Black people down in Florida in positions of power to either challenge his position on this matter or IGNORE it and promote Black studies in their own school districts if they so choose.
And he wouldn't be able to stop them one bit.

DeSantis....like Trump....is being used as Boogieman.
A DISTRACTION.
Someone to get all of your attention for his outrageously racist and bigoted speech while the REAL right-wing threats can move in silence undetected.

@Pioneer1

I am aware of what the enemies of Black people say in public. You may ignore them, but I don't.

Fortunately, according to those who know him personally, DeSantis has a nasty personality which why so many around him think him negative. Trump, although ignorant, comes across a charmer to many in the news media.

If news reporters are able to ask DeSantis hard questions, pin him down on his thoughts about Black people and our achievements, perhaps his march to the GOP nomination in 2024 can be halted.

I don't think so.  DeStupid has already shown his hand.   He acts and says the quiet part out loud.  There are enough white folks in this country who think just like him.  They will do everything it takes to insure that he gets the GOP nomination if not the former POTUS 45. 😎

Truer words were never spoken.

Were everyone that honest we would be in a better world.

We LIVE in a system that disrespects EVERYTHING that is black.

Blackness is only required in such a system as a propaganda tool used to motivate those people who choose to be a follower of people who are racist and hateful.

The key fact is they are recruiting followers.

To that end they will assign as many black faces (They are using Black Face ) as required, to insure and guarantee that you will submit your free will and independence to their cause.

Black education is priceless to black people.

In order for that priceless education to become a default as income, wealth, work, jobs, and careers, its prerequisite places it outside of, and away from, every other system in existence right now.

The only problem that exist right now in the value of black education is the same problem that has always existed.

Black people want to be recognized by the people who hate their very existence the most and are doing anything they can to be liked and accepted, appreciated and allowed in, as they can.

That is a description of a failure and a loser.

Which is why black people can historically be tracked as constantly being devalued than other races across any TIMETABLE.

Followers.

I wont even begin to break that word down.

I am not certain how it is unclear to anyone who is interested in the subject of black power. But it can only be achieved through separation, segregation, isolation, and limited interactions with others.

Every and Any other action that is designed around being included. Is based upon being absorbed into their system. Or any similar dynamic is a trick.

DIVIDE AND CONQUER.

How something so obvious always goes below the board never even getting mentioned on any social level?

The answer that question reveals the state and condition of the black mind.

Black education is USELESS when not being used in a BLACK SOCIETY.

Black Society is different than Black People.

There are billions of People that are Black right now who have communities, neighborhoods, and cities, to themselves. These are BLACK FACE societies.

Their Society is not Black.

Their Society is usually anything but Black.

A group of Black People is NOT a BLACK SOCIETY.

It is a black community, it is a black neighborhood, it is a black village, a black town, a black city. There are even BLACK STATES.

None of them are black societies.

For Black Education to have the value it deserves to have only a black society can make that value manifest.

@Rodney campbell, another brilliant treatise. 👏🏿

Unfortunately, Black people collectively are afraid to destroy the system of racism white supremacy.

As a result, Black people are left in a proverbial child-like state to the system and imprisoned by it.

Very similar to adults who never leave home and/or learn how to take care of themselves.😎
