Thank Troy, yipppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! :P

This is what your site is ALL about, sharing.

Eve, I appreciate the bio you have included. Look for "Transformation" in the June issue.

I will try to place the other poems in upcoming issues and I will notify you accordingly.

If you submit them elsewhere for publication please let me know.

I throughly enjoy your writing style, especially the voice and tone of each poem.

KIDS!

A kindergarten pupil told his teacher that he found a cat, but it was dead.

"How do you know the cat was dead?" she asked him.

"Because I pissed in its ear and he didn't move" the child said innocently.

"You did WHAT!?" The teacher exclaimed in surprise.

"You know" the boy explained "I leaned over and went Pssst! and it didn't move".

MURDER AT WALMART>>> Tired of constantly> being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided> to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife> with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed.>>> A 'friend of a friend'> put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by> the> name of 'Artie.' Artie explained to the husband that his going price for> snuffing out a spouse was $5,000.>> The> husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have> any> cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie> insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened> his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill that rested inside.> Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the> dollar as down payment for the dirty deed.>> A few> days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Super Wal-Mart> store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded> to strangle her with his gloved hands. As the poor unsuspecting woman> drew her last breath & slumped to the floor, the manager of the produce> department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to> leave any living witnesses behind, ol' Artie had no choice but to> strangle the produce manager as well.>> However,> unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden> security> cameras & observed by the store's security guard, who immediately> called the police. Artie was caught and arrested before he could even> leave> the store.>>> Under intense> questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan,> including his unusual financial arrangements with the hapless husband> who was also quickly arrested.>>> The next day in the> newspaper, the headline declared...>>> (You're> going to hate me for this...)>>> 'ARTIE CHOKES 2 for $1.00 @ WAL-MART!'>>

Being a Mom

Before I was a Mom,

I never tripped over toys

or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not

my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind

and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held down a screaming child

so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night

watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because

I didn't want to put her down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces

when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small

could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,

I didn't know the feeling of

having my heart outside my body..

I didn't know how special it could feel

to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond

between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small

could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night

every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth,

the joy,

the love,

the heartache,

the wonderment

or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,

before I was a Mom.

I Am Flawless

Matted and framed

the image in this pane of glass is flawed and slightly askew

A closer view will show the super glue holding the pieces together

cleverly covered in the fabric of faux confidence and crooked toothed smile

but while this picture in not unmarred

the scars revealed are utterly perfect in their imperfections

and as I look at my reflection I know that I am flawless

Mind you not faultless

but made just as I was meant to be

Perfectly

because He does not make mistakes

and so I awake each day a masterpiece.
