100 Free Tickets Offered to Attendees

Sydney Sunshine and the Not-So-Magic Mirror, a new children’s book about self-esteem and self-confidence debuts on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Bear Creek Roller Rink from 6-9 pm at 5210 Hwy. 6 North, Houston, TX  77084. 100 free tickets will be given away!

Sydney Sunshine and the Not-So-Magic Mirror is a heart-felt short story with a positive message geared towards young children. The story teaches the importance of self-esteem and self-confidence. This is the first book of a 12-book series written by gifted and talented nine-year old Sydney McGee (a.k.a, Sydney Sunshine).

When asked what inspired her to write, Sydney states, “I was inspired to write this series about morals and values because I really wanted to spread a message to children about doing the right things, being respectful, loving others, being kind, and always letting their heart shine bright! I decided to write a storybook because my mom is an author and she spreads messages in the books she writes.”

Excerpt: Is This Mirror Really Magical?

Sydney Sunshine received a surprise that has been handed down from generation to generation – a special mirror with magical powers. The reflection in the mirror is that of a girl she never seen before, and the illusions have a positive effect on Sydney Sunshine. But, when something happens to her mirror, she feels hopeless and is left with unanswered questions. Will Sydney Sunshine be able to find the magic within herself? Or, is the magic only inside the little girl she sees in the mirror?

“Sydney Sunshine and the Not-So- Magic Mirror is an eye-opening story about the importance and power of self-esteem and self-confidence within the heart of a child. A must-read for all young children and their parents. – Meredith E. Greenwood, National Bestselling Author and proud mother of Sydney.
