Supreme Conflict

Recommended Posts

i have been following the coverage of Trump's controversial nominee for the Supreme Court. Observing the dramatic "he-said-she-said" testimonies of the woman accusing Trump's choice of sexual assault, and the denial of these charges by the accused, has been not only riveting but rather depressing. America is bordering on shambles.

Dr. Christine Ford alleges that 30+ years ago, Brett Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, accosted her at  a high school house party. She relates how a drunk Kavanaugh pulled her inside a bedroom where he pinned her down, tried to undress her, and nearly smothered her before she was able to get away and  lock herself in a bathroom. Kavanaugh's denial of any such behavior was predictably indignant and enraged.  His supporters are saying this is just a case of  boys being boys, -  kids  who should not be held accountable for something that happened so long ago. An astounding number of women, however, have come forward in support of Christine Ford, saying that had similar experiences which scarred them for life, something insensitive Republican males have seemingly dismissed. With the exception of an occasional comparison to the sexual harassment charges Anita Hill brought against Clarence Thomas when he was up for his Supreme court confirmation, black people are almost on the fringes of this privileged white America family quarrel.

I confess that i had no idea of how rampant situations like this were/are in this country. i have been luke warm about the "Me, too" movement, mostly drawing from my own experiences wherein i was always able to talk myself out of compromising  situations, partly giving credit to the offending guys for eventually accepting that "no" meant "no."  I shared similar stories with friends who, like me, prided ourselves in being strong enough to put fresh guys in their place. I also kinda wondered if, because black men are so devoted to their mommas that they are less inclined to react violently to having their wrists slapped.  Not to mention them having a "miss one, catch another" mentality.

I have also always regarded white women as being fragile and vulnerable because the esteemed status they hold in Society does not prepare them for being disrespected by boorish horny males and they cope with the trauma of rape, attempted or otherwise,  by internalizing it and blaming themselves rather than speaking out.

What I have become convinced of more than ever, are the paragons of power who have been completely corrupted by their power: rich white men, and sometimes even those who aren't wealthy but who just have a degree of authority! What is really telling about these titans who run and control the world, is how not only do they oppress people of color but how they dominate and control their women. Any attempt on the part of white women to exert themselves has typically been met with them being humiliated and humbled by white men. This is what spawned Feminism, the brain child of rebellious white women. My son told me how when he was in Atlanta a while back, he had an occasion to talk with an elderly white woman who told him that white men were the worst people on earth.  Of course, this does not apply to all of them but there does seem to be evidence of this assessment in world history.

During these current hearings, Republicans have been accusing Democrats of playing politics with this Supreme Court appointment, and Democrats are responding by saying this is not about partisanship but about a culture that looks the other way when males take unwanted sexual liberties with females, This is an issue Dems want to be addressed and condemned rather than rewarded with a life time position that has the potential to change the face of America. But, preferring to put their own interests over the good of the country, Republicans are eager to approve the nomination of a man of questionable character who embodies a right-wing conservative agenda and who has completely polarized the nation.

How will it all end?  Who knows. Winter is coming.

Clearly. I'm largely ignoring the whole Kavanaugh affair. But even though I'm not actively pursuing information, I'm fairly apprised of the situation since it is being covered 24/7 by a  media driven by controversy -- you'd have to be off the grid to not follow this story... a pure spectacle of American dysfunction.

Well according to the stats over 53% of White women voted for Trump and support him.
As far as I'm concerned he's a monsters THEY created.

This has less to do with privilege and wealth and more to do with Caucasian women who unconditionally stand by and stick by eachother even against their own best interests.

How do you know it has nothing to do with privilege and wealth?  53 percent of the women who voted may have rejected Hillary Clinton, but who knows what percentage of the millions of women who didn't bother to vote, would've voted for Trump? Your argument that "Caucasian women who unconditionally stand by and stick by each other even against their own best interests" doesn't hold water because it doesn't take into consideration the 47 percent of white women who did vote for her, and you are also ignorant in regard to whether or not maintaining their financial interests and lowering their taxes were the reasons certain white women voted against Hillary.

47% is STILL less than 53% and it was the majority of White women who actually gave him enough popular votes to win the electoral votes.
Like I said, it was less about wealth and priviledge and more about racial solidarity.

I guess if a man didn't explicitly say he got up and had breakfast and drove to work today you would ASSUME that he was hungry and unemployed, lol.

What an ignorant false equivalency argument that is!  And admitting that you are just mouthing off, not saying what you actually believe, certainly confirms that everything you express is  a lot of empty blather.

The biggest joke of all is what appears at the bottom of all your posts where you  pompously quote yourself :"I pledge allegiance to the TRUTH"  -Pioneer1.   A lie, if there ever was one!  You've never let the truth get in the way of your pontificating.   And you wear the fact that you are not college-educated  as if this is a badge of honor that makes you naturally smart. Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation is the ultimate affirmation of the patriarchy — and Republican women let it happen

As I watched a parade of Republican senators like Susan Collins cast their votes for Kavanaugh, I saw women upholding male power and privilege.
Collins and her cohorts affirmed the reported more than 50 percent of white women who voted for Trump in 2016. These women clearly have no issue with the president’s openly misogynistic behavior, his demeaning of female reporters and his mocking of Ford last week.

@Pioneer1 is your response supposed to prove that there is solidarity among whites when  53 percent of white women voted for a white Trump instead of a white Hillary? When it came to Kavanaugh, and the  3 white female senators  the situation was the same.  One white woman, Republican Senator Susan Collins  voted for white Kavanaugh and the the other 2  white female senators didn't support him. How is that solidarity, when white people break ranks and vote against each other on the grounds of party or gender?

This video told me nothing i haven't already heard and is irrelevant to what i am saying.  i am not talking about a white patriarchy or white racism.  i am talking about the family feud that exists within the white race.

You know when people use these hyperbolic superlatives nowadays it gets on my nerves.  I know this is partially because 45 speaks this way in an effort to con people.

I also know people do this as a form of praise and to be complementary but it just turns me off. Now I like Claude Anderson's ideas promote his work and sell his books. So I'm not trying to take anything away from him.  But when Boyce says things like; "definitely one of the greatest thinkers of all-time" "throughout the world;" it just turns me off.

Fortunately Claude is modest man.

Unlike what Claude describes in this video, I believe race is a distraction.  Gender is too. This is all about rich folk acquiring more wealth and holding on to it.  If there is a race war do you think 45 and his homies like "100 Keg" Kavanaugh are going to be running around shooting folks?

Long before Black folks were around, white were enslaving and exploiting each other.

Now the fight against racism is important and must be waged, but the absence of racism will not rid of the problems economic problems we have.

Racism is one of the biggest problems humanity faces.
Bigger than economic injustice.
Bigger than sexism.
....in my opinion.

Infact, racism is at the root of both of them both directly and indirectly.
For example.............

The reason why there is so much poverty in the United States as opposed to Europe is because most of the socialist and safety-net programs that Europe has to care for it's poor are SABOTAGED in the United States by racist politicians who are afraid that too many Blacks and Browns may benefit.

Obviously racism is a problem, but it is certainly not one of the biggest problems faced by humanity.

Personally man's adverse impact on the climate is at top of my list -- that is if you really want to talk about humanity. Climate change is THE existential threat of our day. The impact of which we can see every day.

In the US the growing wealth inequality leaves racism in the dust.

Racism is a convenient tool to keep the masses fighting amounst ourselves while being robbed blind.

As an aside; How is racism the root cause of sexism? Please explain that, or provide an example.

To the contrary!
Climate change is actually a SOLUTION to a major problem.

When human beings mistreat, exploit, and pollute the environment for so long the result is that the environment reacts by making itself uninhabitable for humans for a period of time until they are "wiped out" and then new life begins all over again.

Hurricanes, earthquakes, extreme tempuratures and the other changes we're witnessing in the global climate are just SOME of the many ways this "great correction" takes place.

BTW...I forgot you were living in Florida now, how are YOU doing?

In the US the growing wealth inequality leaves racism in the dust.

Who do you think is ORCHESTRATING this growing inequality?

Whether you're talking about gentrification, the elimination of decent paying jobs in the inner city, or the defunding of the public education system....all of these factors that helped to create this growing enquality was initiated by those with undoubtedly racist agendas.

Further.....how do you thing racism is practiced?
Police brutality and name calling are just a few aspects of how racism is practiced, but one of the major methods of expressing racism is through WEALTH INEQUALITY and the systematic denial of financial opportunities to those of another race.

As an aside; How is racism the root cause of sexism? Please explain that, or provide an example.

While sexism....or more specifically the mistreatment OF females BY males (and often other female collaborators).... was fairly common in the Caucasian homelands of both Europe and the so-called "middle east" for millenia, it was almost unheard of in indigenous Native American, African, and most other societies around the globe.

But under the racist expansion of Caucasians both European and Arab into other parts of the world which FORCED other societies to adopt their sexist female-suppressing religions and cultural habits......racism was essentially used to export sexism and make it worldwide.

I think it can be explained, but to believe it, is another issue. It's like asking that question, 'which came first, the chicken or the egg?'

How to understand the Big Bang Theory and why should we believe humans who offer this theory?

How can the Y chromosome produce a powerful male from the womb of the X chromosome female.

How can a tiny mustard seed produce such a giant tree? ...

How can mankind affect 'climate change' or affect 'global warming' within the realm of such a massive milky way, even though the ancient scripts do say that indeed, mankind

did/will affect and add ruin to the earth?...

If there is scientific evidence that human beings existed as being 'inter-sexed' and that COLORISM became an issue first then, that would mean that 'racism' came first before sexism. Sexism would be a by-factor as a result of COLORISM. When genderism became distinct, COLORISM was already a very ancient concept. So yes, I believe that Racism is the root of sexism.

I understand your position on the oligarchs and plutocrats but, I believe that GREED and TRADE WARS all stem from an early time when a global movement was orchestrated by White Supremacist to invade, dominate and take over BLACK LANDS AND BLACK PEOPLE. I believe that Black people do make choices to engage in BLACK-ON-BLACK VIOLENCE but it is associated with this dark movement that involved exploiting ancient Black Africans of whom allowed these strange people to come into their lands and create confusion, and division so as to conquer.

@Delano, ok, techically you are right. But seriously man, how was anyone supposed what you were talking about?

You turned the conversation to the issue of race back in September and conversation has continued along the thread ever since.

Perhaps a bit more of an introduction to your links would be helpful in avoiding confusion in these situations.

@Chevdove you've lost me.

Hiwever, the bottom line is that white folks have, throughtout history, have perpetrated great evils against other white people.

White people have never been at a loss to find a rationale for hating each other. Sometimes it is religion other times it is just a line in the sand.

What we know as racism is just another mechanism. Racism is not nearly as old however as you suggest.  Racism was a recent concoction to justify the perpetual enslavement of Africans -- essentially equating us with animals. Educated people always knew better, but up until the last 100 years, or so, most people were not educated, so this fraud of race was easily spread.

The stupidity persists because there are beneficaries and so many people are poorly educated.

So while racism is indeed a problem, the state of our educational system -- for the reasons just described -- is a more serious problem.

You are not going to end racism by converting racists to rational humans. They need to die out. We just cant keep crearing new racists...

If your belief sounded articulate and rational, maybe Troy would accept it. The battle of the sexes does not involve race.  The instinct of the male of the species is to  dominate the female of the species.  Sexism arose from this dynamic that has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with gender.

No one is holding them back.  What is holding them back is their not being smart enough to take advantage of lucrative opportunities.  White skin is a privilege that provides a leg up, but dumbness and ineptitude does not discriminate and it does occur among whites.  Mental acuity is what separates the wheat from the chaff when it comes to whites.

Intelligence is a major factor as to why some Whites are in poverty but another major factor is RACIAL LOYALTY.
Most Black people are ready to accept that White people who are are poor are in that condition simply because they aren't smart enough to figure out how to get out of poverty, but  they are NOT ready to accept that many if not most Whites who are poor are in that position because they see it as a duty and obligation to the White race collectively to be "worker bees" or "worker ants".

It's the same reason so many White women choose racial loyalty over sexual loyalty and side with sexist Republicans over women's issues.

Racial loyalty.

In Genesis 3:16 right near the beginning of the Caucasian race the white woman (Eve) is told:

"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Most White women are taught from the beginning she was supposed to be loyal to her husband despite his sexism or abuse to ensure loyalty.

@Pioneer1 LOL. I don't know what to say. LOL. This is so confusing. Your use of words that you define without references makes it so difficult to follow you.

Your word 'Caucasian' is a contruct used today, but it does not fit at the time the scripts you reference. If I am wrong please show me this word in context.

The original Caucasians were not white!

Your word 'Eve' that you define as being 'Caucasian' or todays' definition of a White European is wrong. My reshearch shows the name 'EVE' refers to 'a dark person', 'Black', and especially; 'EVENING'. The name Eve carries much more meaning such as 'wife' [ie helpmate] and 'evening flower' and 'Cheveh' and etc.

So for you to say that White women are loyal based on this refeence is false. That reference was in response to just the opposite, in that the previous description was that Eve wanted to be ABOVE her husband so she led him to the forbidden tree and tricked him into eating from the tree. She was not loyal at all. Her fate was not because she willingly became submissive to Adam, but that after they were driven from Eden, she became dependent on the man to protect and provide for her.

i just disagreed with that!  I repeat: Poor white people are NOT deliberately responsible for being poor!  They have no control over their being too intellectually incapacitated to do any better.  They are simply dumb.

@Pioneer1 I don't know about Farrakhan, but I dont believe that poor White people want to be poor or choose to be poor to support rich White people. I don't really believe either, that there is a cut and dry reason, but if they knew how to change their circumstances, they probably would do so.

If that's the case, then how do you explain so many poor White people who were sick and uninsured and STILL opposed Obama and the other Democrats when they were trying to pass the Affordable Care Act that would provide health insurance to millions of poor (mostly White) people?

I'm sure you remember......
There were all types of crowds shouting and screaming at Congressmen at various townhalls across America calling it "socialize medicine" as if that were the worst thing in the world.

The thing to understand is MOST Caucasians in the United States have a "worker bee" or "worker ant" mentality where they are taught from an early age to uphold White domination in society even if it means sacrificing their own life and livelihood. Most AfroAmericans don't have that mentality and because they don't have it, most don't understand it or even believe it exists.

As long as people of color are in their society, most Caucasians deep down (even most of the poor ones who would really benefit) are opposed to anything "public" because that means OTHERS besides themselves may benefit from it. They only support it when ONLY Whites can benefit.

That's why so many don't want public schools or public health care even if it would benefit them and help get them out of poverty!

It's more than simply being too dumb to get wealthy, many are downright too HATEFUL to see anyone else get the same opportunities as them.
If they can't have it all to themselves they'd rather NO ONE get it.

What more do you need to illustrate that poor whites are ignorant and stupid and incapable of doing any better in life? Your brain is addled.

You read my statement but you obviously didn't COMPREHEND the point I'm making.

They aren't rejecting help just because they're too stupid to receive it or take advantage of it....that's only a small percentage of them.
Most of them are rejecting it because of HATRED and fear that it may benefit others besides themseslves.

Your brain is addled.

With comprehension skills like yours......I bet when you were in school your butt was PADDLED, lol.

@Pioneer1As if you know what you're talking about. I'm rejecting  the silly point you are trying to make about poor white people; not misunderstanding it.  You actually think you are an authority on their mind-set when you can't even figure black people out.

No, you don't.  If i had a consistent MO and you knew it, you wouldn't always leave yourself so wide open.    And speaking of MO's,  your obvious one  is when you  get trapped in a corner, you try and reverse things and claim the other person's argument as your own, insisting that they are actually agreeing with you.

Then there's your old standby, of starting a sentence with " I may not be the smartest person in the world" which is invariably followed by a declaration that amounts to a pile of BS.    You really do think you've got everybody's number here.  You make up scenarios in your head about what I am attempting to accomplish in the way of alliances.  You just can't accept that i like ChevDove and Mel because they are smart, funny and interesting. And you've also got all kinds of  theories about why i don't fuss with Kalexander.  In your mind, I am cultivating them so they will be on "my side".  You really have a "playground mentality".

Well if it WASN'T in my mind, it's certainly in it now.....lol.

Just remember woman, I'm usually 3-5 steps ahead of most of the games you play on here so the little "hidden in plain sight" exposè you did on yourself doesn't fool me one bit.

@Pioneer1OOOH. Puleeze.  You really think my life revolves around this site and that i look upon it as some kind of chess board where I'm trying to move people around and gain advantages.  For what?  It ain't that serious.    You flatter yourself if you think you rate that much effort. Half of your posts i just skim over, if i read them at all.  Especially since there is no sense of accomplishment in getting over on you.  Everybody on this board does it.  It's no big thing because it's so easy.  You're a cipher, reeking with self-importance,  interesting only because it's fun to stick a pin in your inflated ego.  sssssssssssss   😄

Do you have anything else to "contributed" (for lack of a better term to describe what you've been posting)  pertaining to the SUBJECT of this thread you started?

Why do you ask?  Do you want me to supply some more responses to what you've been rambling about so, as usual,  you can claim they're what you've been saying all along?  If not, you have my permission to get off my post and move on.  BUH-BYE 😀
