“The Literary Titan Book Award is bestowed on books that expertly deliver complex characters, intricate worlds, and thought provoking themes. The ease with which the story is told is a reflection of the author’s talent in exercising fluent, powerful, and appropriate language..The Twisted Crown deserves extraordinary praise.”  Thomas Anderson, Editor In Chief, Literary Titan

Released September 1, 2018, The Twisted Crown is inspired by the life of the author’s great-great grandfather, it takes readers from the bustling streets of Boston at the height of the Abolitionist movement to the war-ravaged landscape of Reconstruction-era South Carolina.

It’s 1867. The Civil War and slavery have ended. South Carolina remains in near ruin and the federal government’s attempt to reconstruct the political and cultural environment of the former rebel state is underway.

Into that unfamiliar and turbulent environment travels Eva Phillips, a woman of spirit and determination, who undertakes a remarkable journey where she is drawn into a dangerous web of lies, theft, and murder.

The Twisted Crown (ISBN: 978-0-9624012-4-4) is now available from Amazon in Trade Paperback ($14.95) and Kindle eBook ($9.99), and Barnes & Noble Nook ($14.95).
