How can Blacks advance economically under Harris Biden?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps it could be my moral convictions don't allow me to understand your perspective @daniellegfny, but the fact is many of your statements concerning your interpretation of Covid-19's severity are demonstrably false.

I thought when I showed you that the data you shared revealed that Covid-19 is now the 3rd leading cause of death in the US this year that it might cause to view the pandemic more seriously.  The fact that more than a million people have died across the world and you still liken the virus to the common cold -- that defies logic.  But again I understand now.

Look, I get that shutting down businesses for months on end has and will wreck havoc on the personal lives of millions of people. But you don't fix that problem by putting your head in the sand regarding this illness and making believe it is no worse that the flu.

The U.S. has not dealt with the pandemic well.  We were ill prepared for it and react poorly.

I read somewhere that the deaths could could be off by 100% or more, simply because we are correctly counting the deaths.  600,000+ deaths from Covid-19 could be the an more accurate figure.

But again, I know these facts will have no impact on your perspective; science, data, incredible loss of human life, be damned.

Humm let me think ... all of them! The quality is pretty shitty here when you don't have it.

This is what I think about it.  Black people (and everyone) need to stop worrying  about what is Harris/Biden going to do for me, or what is Donald J. Trump going  to do for me.  Obviously,

That is a contested statement that you regard as fact. You can’t accept the fact that there are things outside your understanding. And you refuse to accept scientific definitions.

Um I believe we are see the rest of the world is experiencing spikes. As we see more therapeutics developed the mortality rate lethality continue to decline. Most people require no intervention whatsoever. So your  talk of death toll is just a skewed political view.

If you think that you can stop the virus I say stop the common cold.

You have not started facts. Only numbers and interpretations. Data is meaningless without proper definitions and parameters.

That’s inaccurate. It wasn’t talk radio or fox which shaped my conservative views. It was more life experience and recognizing what brought the most success in our ever changing condition. You are implying that people couldn’t reach a conservative conclusion through experimentation and investigation.

There's a difference between traditional Conservatism (which still incorporates racism) and this current right-wing Trump worship that has taken over the Republican Party today.

No "life experience" teaches you to ignore diseases and threaten to kidnap state officials.  That's right-wing extremism.

There's a difference between a Thomas Sowell and a Candace Owens.

Look, I get that shutting down businesses for months on end has and will wreck havoc on the personal lives of millions of people.

Believe it or not, it actually HELPED a lot of people.

A lot of people got laid off from jobs they absolutely HATED and got unemployment insurance PLUS an extra $600 a week.

The Pandemic actually led to a lot of people getting  DECENT WAGES for the first time in their lives.

It's the BUSINESS OWNERS who are taking the brunt of the restrictive policies.

When they thought HALF of the population was going to die they were passing out money like candy.

Even the most conservative Republicans were willing to pass out big checks and enhanced benefits....lol.

Remember we were supposed to get TWO stimulus checks???
One in April and one in May.

They looked around and didn't see as many people dropping dead as they had calculated and started stalling.....lol.

There are indeed profound differences between the two. One  Candice is a celebrity, whose first book has been on the NY Times bestsellers list since it came out. Sowell is a PhD, who is virtually obscure by comparison. Does Candice even have a graduate degree or even a 4 year degree ... if so from where?

you found one possible person who worshipped Trump or it could be a fabrication

It's no "fabrication"...lol.
I showed you SEVERAL media sources of this man who worshipped Trump as well as OTHERS praising him, comparing him with Jesus, and trying to "lay hands" on him as if he's a deity.

Like I said,  many of his supporters WORSHIP him, and I proved my case.
But instead of accepting this you'd rather   DENY reality and make it seems as if what we all see isn't true.

The question is how do we survive the harsh austerity that will result from a Harris/Biden victory?

Well, you sure as hell won't survive it by going around denying REALITY....lol.

That's one of the signs of brainwashing btw.
Denying obvious reality.

They were laying hands on him to pray for him.  If you had any experience with the church you would know how wrong you are. The sign the woman held was thanking God for sending Trump.

Also the India story is a possible fabrication or just an example of a crazy person from a pagan country. The whole question is a dodge from dealing with the substance of survival in a Harris/Biden world.

According to the Bible you can't serve 2 masters, Coggins!
If you love one you must hate the other.

Lol, Christians do a LOT of things they are "prohibited" from doing like eating pork, engaging in homosexuality, and harming people.

Like I've said before, the White Supremacists CLAIM to be "Christian" when it's convenient but they've also train people of color to follow their lead and call themselves "Christian" too,  while engaging in the most un-Christian behavior.

But the difference between them is that the White Supremacists don't really believe in Jesus, while most Christians of color actually do despite their behavior.

But anyway......

I didn't specify a number.
I said his supporters worship him.

Now, whether that's a LOT of them or just a FEW of them, I'm not sure....but it's a fact that they do.

And apparently I'm not the only one who believes Trump is being "worshipped":

Well, I would say that MOST people of color who support Agent Orange have "mental problems".

Being STUPID is a mental problem....lol.
Being BRAINWASHED is a mental problem....lol.

Having a mental problem may explain their behavior but doesn't excuse it.

Jesus is God. There’s no two masters.

Really?

Seems to me you don't know your own religion because according to Colossians 3:1....

Quote

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

If....according to the Bible...he's sitting at the right hand OF God then he can't BE God.

All references to fake gods are lowercase.

And you said she was thanking "god" for Trump, essentially calling Jesus "god" with a lower case "g".

If ALL references to fake gods are lowercase as you said, then you are essentially calling Jesus a "fake god" by using the lower case "g" in reference to him.

Man, see how CONFUSED the White Supremacists (or somebody.....lol) has you?

It’s interesting how you have no answers in how to survive the tax hikes.

You should be more focused on how to survive the coming societal COLLAPSE, instead of focusing on some damn "taxes".

Your White Supremacist buddies are planning on launching an attack in the very near future.
That's what THEY are focused on, while you're focused on DISTRACTIONS put out by the media  keep you focused on what doesn't matter.

Because THAT is the position YOU'LL be in in the very near future if your White Supremacists buddies have their way!

It shows a lack of understanding what is significant.

Actually it shows that unlike YOU (lol) I have a pretty GOOD understanding of mathematics and logic.  You see, if according to you (red writing):

The sign said Thank You Lord Jesus For Trump.

The object of her thanks = Jesus (A)

The sign the woman held was thanking god for sending Trump

The object of her thanks = god (B )

Then A = B

With me so far?

Now, if:

All references to fake gods are lowercase.

god = fake god (C)

And we already established that  (B) god = object of her thanks

Then C = B which also equals A!

But I know math isn't your strong point, so perhaps I should just drop the whole thing....lol.

For a person on a book club site that statement is pretty disrespectful.

Lol....
And for a person who claims to be Black, your support of a racist Republican is even MORE disrespectful.

Nice list; obviously someone put a lot of effort into creating it. The list leaves quite a few things out @daniellegfny.

It does not address the president's reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic some estimate over 100,000 lives could have been saved this year if he reacted with sense.

The list mentions unemployment and the economy numerous times, but fails to mention anything specific that 45 has done the resulted in booming economy and lower unemployment. The list completely over looks the fact that your president inherited a strong economy and growing unemployment, all of which has been more that reversed due to our reaction to Covid-19.

The tax cuts and regulation reductions were the primary actions taken. The energy policy which lead to energy independence was another catalyst.

So @daniellegfny you do you believe fewer people would have died if Trump had reacted differently to the Covid-19 crisis, which is worsening as we speak?

You obviously don't believe Trump benefited from Obama's administration and many of the accomplishments listed are Obama's.

I got your number D. I know why you want to deflect attention away from the fundamentally vile, venal character of NOT your president, but your leader.

I was lurking Troy's thread, finding the convos interesting but after a while, bemused in that no one came to MY conclusion. For as I read, it became to clear to me that the answer to Why Those with Moral Convictions Can Reject Science and Facts is simple: they're in a cult. Like you, D. You're no Republican. You're a Jim Jones/Charles Manson/Donald Trump cult follower. No matter what The Leader says, or does even that which goes contrary to everything you knew up to the date you fell under the/some venal white man's spell, you become his slavish parrot, sacrificing all that is good and fine in the world for The Leader's approval. So keep on launching ad hominem bombs and countering facts with nonexistent achievements of your cult Leader. I got your number.

You just can’t deal with facts and try to attack people. President Trump is my servant. You can’t handle you emotions and reality has overwhelmed your reason.

I can handle EVERY passive-aggressive emotion you steam. I know you. I've seen you a hundred times before, albeit on TV, planting veggies is a South American jungle -- you know the deal. And because my faculties are all in tact, so do I.
