Time Markers or experiments with time.

Delano

Recommended Posts

I have recently been trying to qualify time. I have chosen times both for myself, friends and clients. So far the results have been good. I have found ways of describing time and then commencing activities at specific point in time to capture and utilise the energy of time. I have been able to describe the following qualities and use them: acceptance through openness; acceptance through understanding; efficiency one was internal the other was external; optimism.

The other cool thing is that the experiment is also making me more introspective. They can be the starting times for meditations or the beginning of an activity.

They can change from one second to the next and not everyone is live. Since I use the natal chart so they are for one person and one time during a day. While the same time marker may be found more than once in a day. They do not repeat at the same time.  I have found some general ones that are not connected to natal charts. Also not all time markers occur every day. One very special one I have only found on in three months.

@DelYou are obviously not among those who say that time doesn't exist... Are you explaining that you identify time by associating it with specific events and this scheduling has fine tuned your mind?

Other than sun rise, sun set, the phases of the moon, the  constellation of the stars and the changing of seasons, the only way i currently experience time is through the reminiscing that allows me to recreate the past in my mind.  Tempus fugit

I have created 139 categories for terrestrial and celestial time. Which was through the progression of symbols I created on June 17, 2007. I have been working on and with them ever since. I initially started with numbers in 1999.

I would ask people for numbers and I would use them as a divination tool. Then I progressed to using words as a divination tool.  As also created a formula to transform those numbers into time.

The big leap though was creating a set of symbols. The symbols are like hieroglyphics. In that they express ideas and qualities. They also function as numbers so they have a qualitative aspect as well. I had read quite a bit before I started and had consulted with a couple of advanced metaphysicians. Some languages are considered  especially Magical although all languages have  magical components. However Hebrew Greek Sanskrit  have a numerical component associated with some or all of the letters. Devanagari (translates as sacred language) which is a particular type of Sanskrit has words that relate to numbers. Like the void and Sky are zero. Which also connects to Vedic Astrology, Meditation, Yoga and breathing exercises. They all are interconnected. As an aside prana translates as breath, but also means the distance the Sun moves in four seconds.

So I created this set of hieroglyphics for every moment of time. And for specific moments in time. So all 139 symbols have a meaning and a numeric value. Also it isn't a base 10 number system. Except I didn't know specifically what all of them mean  as it relates to time. I had to figure that out by testing them. Like numbers and letters they have groupings. There are six groupings, and within that grouping there are sub elements. One of the groupings has the quality of quickness. So I picked two sub elements and found that one related to being internally quick and the other to being externally quick. So I picked a few and then extrapolated from those few to the rest.

The odd thing is that the meanings are abstract and most are undefined. They get defined by usage. So a querent will want to create an effect. I ask what they want. Then I find the glyphs that most closely match the idea. Then I use their birthday and location to determine the time that best matches that quality. So over time the language is showing me how to define it.

It is also changing how I think and see the world. Because it isn't a base ten number system, it allows me to see time from a different perspective. It also shows me there is structure that is inherent in time and place.

@Cynique I am very interested in your experiences with  time being  less linear. The arrow of cause and effect seems multidirectional. So you may feel like the wanderings or connections are madness. Whereas I feel they are a delinking or untethering. Which is a magical act and will assist you to see "reality". By destroying the boundaries or limits, you can see the basis or elemental truths. Which has been my objective since I was a preteen. Perhaps yours as well. So I was and still are keen to give you a time marker of your own choosing. That will assist you in your quest/journey.

Sorry for any typos, I typed this on my phone from 2:15 - 3:15. Let me know if you have any questions.

@Del i don't understand what you are saying. Words can be inadequate when using them to capture ideas, and they are especially hard to process when they are technical terms.   i am fascinated with the sound of words especially when repeating them over and over resonates into a  chant that  can generate energy. But i don't understand the concept you have devised as it relates to symbols and dates converging into a code that you can translate into data. it's too complicate for my old mind   If by a time marker you mean a significant date in my life that impacted the future then i will get back to you because i have to think about this.

Let the time markers are colours. And that there is a are only 7 colours. Each colour has different qualities. The Red is active energy. Yellow is magnifying. Each moment in time is a colour. Orange would be would combine red and yellow. So it would describe times that are electric and magnetic.

The time markers describe both past and future times.

Don't take my word for it. Check it out. Sanskrit is a fascinating language. Letters are grouped by the part of the mouth you use to pronounce them. There are 7 different types of letters, which I beleive correspond to the 7  visible planets. Devanagari is a type of Sanskrit translated it means Divine city writing. I have been doing a bit of reading about the Vedas and Indian philosophy. Jyotish translates as the science of light. Which is what Indians call astrology. The Vedas are the sacred books. I came across a saying Jyotish is the eyes of the Veda. Sanskrit and Astrology are keys to unlocking Meditation Yoga and Breath works (Pranayama). I was trying to learn Sanskirt but I figure I just stick with the Astrology. The learning curve isn't as steep.

@DelWell, Troy seems to get what you're talking about. it figures because his brain is scientifically wired.   i think the reason i don't get what you're saying  is that i need you to define just what a time marker is since I'm language oriented.  i also find it surprising that i am having such a difficult time, coming up with significant dates in my life.  I'm very conflicted about this.

An Astrology chart takes a date a time and a place and creates a mandala. So an Astrology chart is like a painting that can be read by the Astrologer. For me time is like a color. The time you posted you is more about feeling the answer. As opposed to knowing technically what I am saying.

@DelAnd what is a "mandala"? i am still stumbling because we don't use language in the same way. I need to re-orient my mind and not take your words literally.  How does one "read" a painting?  is that the same as "interpreting" a painting? A painting can speak to me so is that the same as hearing it? A color pleases my eyes but does not inspire me to connect with time. I've previously given you the information about my date of birth and i think that is probably the most significant date in my life:  August 18, 1933, @ 1:30 pm central standard time. i do have a persistent experience of shifting back and forth between parallel universes. It's like i am about 5 minutes ahead of myself in one universe, which makes me 5 minutes behind that in a parallel universe.

Yes that's it exactly. You can interpret a painting. You hear a painting at times I can hear the chart.

A painting speaks to people differently based on their experiences , thinking and beliefs. So keeping with that analogy the paint speaks to me. It does to everyone. What do you think of when I write the following: a white; a red dress, a black dress.

You have not only an image you have a story and perhaps a personal memory.

So if you think of just those colours they still have meanings. The only difference is that my stories or meanings are connected to archetypes.

Tell me your favourite colour and a colour you hate. And I will tell you a story

@Cynique I have another time marker if you would like to try it out. All you have to do is start at 11:09 am on October 8. All you have to do is just listening to your breathing or watch your thoughts. This on is good for conceptual thinking and ideas. October 7 at 7:06 pm; Oct 8 8:17 am are good for seeing and understanding your connection to the group and how you are also an individual. October 8 7:55 is energetic.

All you have to do is at the appointed time say "Now I begin" You can either remain still and see what feelings come up. Or you can continue with the day. Acknowledge the moment in time can  change your awareness and focus.

@Cynique

When you write there's the informational content then there's the cadence, poetry and feel for the right word. It's the same with time makers. The idea is more mystical/ poetic than scientific. Think of describing  your confusion as a colour. What is the colour?

@DelNot surprising, the color is "gray". i think if you used another term to describe this phenomenon i might have an epiphany. Being word-oriented, to me "time marker" is a vague phrase,

BTW,  You suggested I be on the 11:11 look-out on January 27th.  That was yesterday and it was the 89th birthday of my last surviving childhood friend.  i called her to wish her a Happy Birthday. She now lives in Georgia which is an hour ahead of me. i noticed that time i called her was 10:09  By the time she answered it may have been 11:11, her time.  She was very glad to hear from and a very pleasant chat between us ensued.??????

Okay So I go through my Rolodex of Time to find the Time that I want to visit me or a friend. Have you both lived in different cities which have shaped you differently?

Was her career more of a traditional one versus being a writer?

@DelSo are you saying that on the anniversary of meaningful events in your life, you can recall them at a certain hour  of the day and experience an emotion?  And,  no,  my friend and i have not been shaped significantly different by where we lived. She retired to Georgia but before that where we lived had little bearing on how we evolved.

Yes and, incidentally, I never considered myself as having a career.  I was employed 30 years at various clerical positions at my local post office, jobs that allowed me to collect a pay check for doing the least amount of work exerting the least amount of effort.  When i retired in 1992 from its Registry division and turned over one of the two keys in existence to the vault containing valuable mail, my hobby kicked in and i wrote and self-published 4 books just for the fun of it.( During the 1970s I was a regular contributor to the Op-Ed page of one of Chicago's major newspapers, - which is now defunct.  My other calling  would probably be my proclivity for  appreciating good music but i never made a career of this.) Currently, i consider myself a creative nuisance on internet forums and have recently been elevated to the troll status and welcomed into these ranks by Mzuri, AALBC's resident Retrumpican troll.       Sorry, got carried away...    😝

No what I do is find the feeling external or mental state that I or the querent want to have then I calculate the time . Like I did for you when you answered all the Jeopardy questions. It was the time of understanding which was chosen for you.

So when I say a season, you can see it as a colour. I do a similar thing except instead of a colours,  numbers have meanings to me. So instead of a season I am looking at a second of time. And that second tells me what the season is for the time following it. so In Spring you have an idea of what the weather will be , so I have an idea of what time will be like in the near  future.

If you can associate a relationship with a color, then you have created a correspondence system. I do the same thing. The only difference is that I have a few different categories that I use; Astrology , Tarot, Numbers, two synthetic languages or rather alphabets or symbol set.

Plus I use these tools to read the unconscious mind since it seems to think in Symbols and stories.

@DelOK,  February 8th will be what would've been the 100th birthday of my older brother, born in 1922.  I have fond memories of him growing up.  He was a  good natured guy with the wicked sense of humor so characteristic of the kids in the family, - along with our lackadaisical approach to life, And, appropo of black history month, when World War2 broke out in 1941, my brother joined the Navy, seeing action in the North Atlantic aboard a destroyer escort that was the first and only vessel manned by an all-black crew; kinda like the sea-going equivalent of the Tuskeegee Airmen. (50 years later, he and his surviving shipmates were invited to Washington DC by President Clinton to be honored for their bravery and presented with medals from the Secretary of Navy,)  After his discharge from the service, my brother was at loose ends and, because he liked to drink, wasn't the most responsible of guys. But he managed to muddle through, always the target of our domineering father who never failed to remind him of how disappointed he was with him.  Later, after my dad's death, my brother got it together and went on to  lead a productive life. At the age of 84 when he, the oldest, and I, the youngest, were the  last surviving siblings,  he got cancer.  During the 2 years preceding his death, he and i became closer than we'd ever been and i had a chance to see the man my brother really was.  It's been said, it's not how a man lives life but how he faces death. My brother came through with shining colors, looked the grim reaper in the eye and never blinked, never complained, took it all in his stride, inspiring my admiration and pride, and love.  I miss him.

What  "effect" would you recommend?  Afternoon is usually my most lucid time of day.

It sounded like he had his own vision and followed it. Which is like knowing your purpose or goals.

That's what struck me when you told me about his life. Let me know if there's some other word or phrase that you want to focus on instead of those two.

It's easier for you to tell me  the effect. Since I am an outsider to your experiences and memories of your brother.

@DelAt 1:20 pm today, I took a timeout, lay back on my recliner, and closed my eyes.   I felt at peace and gradually began to sense my brother's presence before his smiling face appeared.  I could hear his voice but don't know what he was saying. This communion lasted about a minute  before i sat forward, disturbed because my dog came and jumped up on me.  I've experienced these visitations before with family members who have passed on, particularly my husband...

Astrology is a symbolic way to show time and space. Time + Space = Reality. So Astrology provides a way to see objectively see subjective reality. The chart is objective but the interpretation of the Astrological chart is subjective. Unless the image reaches consensus in which case it objective. @Cynique

Astrology as a term used to be used interchangeably with Astronomy. Astronomy is scientific, it has to do with facts about all things celestial. Astrology is focused on looking at planets, stars and comets in a divinatory sense. To either delineate a person's character or foretell the future. So the difference is that Astrology makes use of correspondences to tell a story. For instance the Sun reprsents Men an authority, the Moon represents Mothers and women in general, Mercury represents children, Venus is Women, Mars is Men, Jupiter is Grandparents, Saturn is older people. In addition the planets have many other meanings, as does the sign and house positions. House position is a ay to divide the chart in 12 sections. The size of the those sections change based on the location the chart is drawn. Below is the chart for the time you asked your question about Astrology.  So in approxiamtely an hour from 3:55 the sun should be close to the horizontal line which actually represents the horizon.

image.thumb.png.2443a3bb8f08c05076acf84afe96f247.png

The slices of move about 15 degrees every hour. Fifteen degrees on a map equates to roughly 1000 miles of longittude.
15 degrees x 24 = 360 degrees in a circle
1000miles (earth's rotational speed) x 24 = roughly the diameter of the earth.

So an Astrological chart is like a clock that measure hours of the day because of house movement.
The movement of the Moon roughly corresponds to the length of a month(moonth).

The sun moves on average about 1 degree a day. = 360 which is equivalent to the length of a year.

Also Jupiter spends nearly a year in each zodiac sign. The cool thing about a chart is that it is a synbolic way of show place + time. So it describes a moment in time. There are also different branches. So the same chart can be read differently. Buildings also have natal charts. I have heard that even though a person is dead their chart is still active.  However that is something I of which know very little.

@Delano: I've been hearing about the rare alignment of planets you posted, and about the sight of them being visible in the dawning hours - if the sky is clear; and, so far, it hasn't been where I live. Too much interference from artificial light.  But i will continue to scan the skies.  That Mercury retrograde we just went through sure gave me fits. Everything was out of kilter in my daily routine.

Your associating events with recurring dates and times still doesn't quite resonate with me. I can't get into calculations except when it comes to music which i have been recently reminded is basically mathematical in its chord structure.   Lately I have also been experimenting with the beneficial powers of crystals and have had  some surprising success with this. I just basically want to download the universe into my consciousness. As above, so below...

I'll ask a few friend to describe it their own words.

Time is measured using numbers. I have found a way to decipher the qualitative aspects of numbers. It was a project I worked on in 2008. In the intervening years I have applied that information to time.

I actually created a technique to read the unconscious around 2000. Then I formalised it by using a set of symbols around 2008. Then in 2020 a created a more complicated set of symbols that is akin to a language.

Even other Astrologers have no idea what I am talking about with any of this system.

So you are making more progress than them.
