The GOP blowout is coming

Recommended Posts

The Democrats are about to get their backsides waxed in this year's midterm elections. Several mistakes are to blame and most are unforced errors.

1) Too many Black people remain ignorant of what Critical Race Theory actually is. It's not Black History, although many well-meaning Black folks claim that it is. And sadly, they cling to this errant view on social media.

But Critical Race Theory is NOT Black History, which is a collection of truths and facts. Theories are simply suppositions.

I will maintain that CRT is taught only at the university level not in grade, intermediate or any high schools.

The problem lies in that few have come up with a ONE SENTENCE description of exactly what Critical Race Theory is.

Most who try to explain it employ 50-cent word verbiage which average readers in the U.S. have a hard time understanding since most read at a 7th and 8th grade level.

Others dance around it claiming: "Oh, it's been around for 40 years and such and such.” Long-winded explanations do little to clear the air.

So, I fashioned a one-sentence retort that can be shoved in the face of CRT detractors.

Because the GOP and its supporters have been killing us on messaging while we've gleefully surrendered the intellectual landscape by choosing to scream dumb chit such as "Defund the Police!"

Oh, yeah, what a winning slogan that was.

Here is my one sentence description of CRT:

Critical Race Theory is a premise that posits skin color and race determine the outcomes of most decisions, laws and behavior in the U.S.

That's it! That is the one sentence description. And this one line should have been tossed back at those White racists who have been skewering us with attacks on the social term "woke." This is why we have lost the Messaging War. And CRT is going to be used by millions upon millions of racist and angry Whites, Latinos and some Blacks to clobber the Democrats at the polls in November.

2) Refusal to acknowledge Bernie Sanders' push for so-called Democratic Socialism has failed miserably.

Far too many folks are still drunk on Bernie's Kool-Aid. I keep running into folks who swear the solution to everything is Socialism. As if this canard of economic belief has been successful in any modern society or nation. However, by listening to this aged clown Bernie, AOC and her merry band of knuckleheads threw in all their social wants and desires into the Build Back Better bill, completely guaranteeing that no one, except maybe Kim Jong-Un, would go for it. The bill had to be reworked a few times before the House took a vote.

That's why it failed. BBB contained too too much, would cost too much and proved far too ambitious for most legislators and pundits. But you can't tell Bernie Bots anything. They truly believe they were sent from on high to rule. Yeah, okay.

In addition to having a new Voting Rights Bill fail, Black people are now going to have to contend with even more Red states preparing their own voter suppression laws.

Gotta hand it to all those dumb-azz 2016 third party voters. By denying Hillary Clinton their votes, they enabled Trump to squeak by in enough states to win him the White House. I doubted Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would have survived the first term of whomever won in 2016. She didn't. And this gave Trump a chance to appoint three toadies to the Supreme Court.

I believe more than 10% of Bernie Bots voted for Trump in 2016. Some news outlets peg it higher. Even if most return to the Dems this year, we're still going to lose in November.

Bernie supporters likely put Trump over the top

Adding insult to the fact that minorities right to vote has to be renewed like a driver's license, senate minority leader Mitch McConnell said Blacks vote just as much as Americans. 😁😎

After seeing what the Democrats were doing to America(ns) election after election after election, I bolted from the party decades ago and never looked back, watching a fatigued and suffering black America (- that wouldn't listen, succumb to the Democrat's gaslighting -), in the rear view mirror. As a former election official in (then) a major metropolitan area, I can tell you with 100% certainty that Bernie supporters didn't put Trump over the top. Trump won outright.

"Red states preparing their own voter suppression laws" | No - voter and election integrity efforts and laws are not voter suppression. Until black America wakes up and realizes that it has been taken to the cleaners since the creation of the Ku Klux Klan-founding Democrat party, it will continue to suffer through the misery of being marginalized and taken for granted as nothing more than minstrelized suckers chasing a wrinkled $100 bill in the wind across a busy highway, while blindfolded.

If you say so, Nels. The only problem is that professional pollsters and news organizations say differently.

I will go with their conclusions. There is nothing you can say with 100% certainty that I would agree with.

------------------------------------

Here is my response to poster who asked why the Voting Rights Act of 1965 had to be renewed.

The requirement for renewal was put into the Voting Rights Act of 1965 as a sop to the racists simply to get it passed. And the Act was renewed or reauthorized five times with huge bi-partisan majorities. No one expected the Act to fail to be renewed.

Here is what killed it.

All the voter defections by Bernie Bots in 2016 that put Trump over the top. And he was given the opportunity to appoint three Supreme Court Justices. I warned endlessly about the dangers of voting for third party candidates in the 2016 general election. But so many Bernie supporters were so butt hurt their Socialist candidate didn't win the Dem nomination they embarked on a scorched earth policy to destroy the Democratic Party.

They began this with more than 10% voting for Trump in 2016. Once Trump was able to appoint three justices to the High Court, our right to vote was doomed.

If you rely on professional pollsters and MSM news organizations as sole and credible sources of information, then I cannot help you. Sometimes in life, you just have to let things be because as a former Democrat, I've seen first hand what is really occurring. If you're interested and open-minded, I can message you with some very interesting details.

Nels,

Whoever you are, stop engaging me.

You seem to specialize in utter absurdities and outright lies. You truly believe that because you jettisoned the political party that has continually advanced the cause of Blacks, this makes you a hero or some sort of scholar.

It dosen't. Your choice simply exposes you as a weakling and a malcontent who is afraid to hang in there and defend your own people.

I hope so. Trump is what this country needs most. Maybe he will act more aggressively. Clean house and implement policy that protect Americans and their Advancement. Getting rid of Mitch will be a good indication of his determination.

I don't believe rolling America back to the 1950s will lead to advancement for AfroAmericans.

Getting rid of Mitch would be good but replacing him with a younger version of himself isn't progress either. 😎

No U.S. President can control gasoline prices. The price fluctuations depend on supply, demand and pure greed.

No U.S. President can control street crime either.

As far as inflation goes, economists and financial writers still have not figured out who or what to blame yet. No one has.

But it's probably panic buying, management decisions to hedge bets and allow inventories to trend downward and once again, greed.

You make some wild assertions. Provide proof for Joe Biden calling Black men boys. Because you cannot prove the nonsense you posted about Kamala Harris.

As your hero Trump does, you seem to lie a lot.

After decades in politics, Joe Biden has evolved. People are allowed to do that, you know.

You really should not so many sweeping and untrue statements. Here is why I can truthfully disparage that clown Trump that you worship.

That has been proven wrong. Trump increased the supply by getting rid of restrictions to block oil and gas production. Biden on his first day moved to destroy that. The President can create a regulatory environment favorable for energy independence.

You are correct about other forces that come into play. They are second when compared to where the oil comes from and amount produced.

Daniellegfny,

Do you really expect me to accept anything from the Heritage Foundation, an organization that exists mostly to oppose People of Color and Diversity as well as the politicians and pundits who support them?

I told you that no POTUS can control gasoline pump prices. You actually have to go to industry experts to get an explanation why.

Well, I know to go to the experts for proof.

"Currently U.S. pump prices are about 80 cents a gallon below their all-time record hit in 2008, but they are expected to rise," said a Jan. 13, 2022, Reuters story on oil prices.

"Worldwide oil demand recovered to pre-pandemic levels at roughly 99 million barrels per day, but supply is at least a million barrel per day short of that," according to the International Energy Association, in the news story. (A barrel of oil production equals 42 gallons).

"Economists say the combination of strong demand, weak investment and a lack of spare capacity has caused prices to rise. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, including Russia, a group known as OPEC, have been routinely falling short of targeted supply increases," said Reuters.

So there you have it. As I've maintained, U.S. Presidents have NO control over gasoline and diesel pump prices. All one needs to do is a bit of research to discover this.

Biden not at fault for rise in oil prices

I do have a problem with what is going on right now with higher prices and open borders. I cannot understand how this is helping us especially in the midst of this pandemic.

A lot of the grocery store shelves are empty!

Chevdove,

None of the price increases, the lingering Pandemic or the threat of war over Ukraine are helping. But I offered an explanation in clear and declarative sentences as to why.

And notice the responses? Petty recollections of things said years ago and couple of weeks ago by leaders whom the Trump lovers  decidedly hate.  As if THAT explains what is going on.

But not once have any of these Trump lovers made note of the horrible things Trump and his father have done. Or the nasty things about Black people Trump has spewed from the 1970's until today:

  • 1973: The US Department of Justice — under the Nixon administration, out of all administrations — sued the Trump Management Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act. Federal officials found evidence that Trump had refused to rent to Black tenants and lied to Black applicants about whether apartments were available, among other accusations.

Trump said the federal government was trying to get him to rent to welfare recipients. ( Gee, isn't that the claim of someone on here who calls himself 'Nels'? ). In the aftermath, Trump signed an agreement in 1975 agreeing not to discriminate to renters of color without admitting to previous discrimination.

  • 1980s: Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump’s Castle, accused another one of Trump’s businesses of discrimination. “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” Brown said. “It was the eighties, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back.”

  • 1989: In a controversial case that’s been characterized as a modern-day lynching, four Black teenagers and one Latino teenager — the “Central Park Five” — were accused of attacking and raping a jogger in New York City.

Trump immediately took charge in the case, running an ad in local papers demanding, “BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY. BRING BACK OUR POLICE!” The teens’ convictions were later vacated after they spent seven to 13 years in prison, and the city paid $41 million in a settlement to the teens.

But October 2016, Trump said he still believes they’re guilty, despite the DNA evidence to the contrary.

  • 1991: A book by John O’Donnell, former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump’s criticism of a Black accountant: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.” Trump later said in a 1997 Playboy interview that “the stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true.”

  • 1992: The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino had to pay a $200,000 fine because it transferred Black and women dealers off tables to accommodate a big-time gambler’s prejudices.

  • 1993: In congressional testimony, Trump said that some Native American reservations operating casinos shouldn’t be allowed because “they don’t look like Indians to me.”

  • 2000: In opposition to a casino proposed by the St. Regis Mohawk tribe, which he saw as a financial threat to his casinos in Atlantic City, Trump secretly ran a series of ads suggesting the tribe had a “record of criminal activity [that] is well documented.”

  • 2004: In season two of The Apprentice, Trump fired Kevin Allen, a Black contestant, for being overeducated. “You’re an unbelievably talented guy in terms of education, and you haven’t done anything,” Trump said on the show. “At some point you have to say, ‘That’s enough.’”

  • 2005: Trump publicly pitched what was essentially The Apprentice: White People vs. Black People. He said he “wasn’t particularly happy” with the most recent season of his show, so he was considering “an idea that is fairly controversial — creating a team of successful African Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world.”

  • 2010: In 2010, there was a huge national controversy over the “Ground Zero Mosque” — a proposal to build a Muslim community center in Lower Manhattan, near the site of the 9/11 attacks. Trump opposed the project, calling it “insensitive,” and offered to buy out one of the investors in the project. On The Late Show With David Letterman, Trump argued, referring to Muslims, “Well, somebody’s blowing us up. Somebody’s blowing up buildings, and somebody’s doing lots of bad stuff.”

  • 2011: Trump played a big role in pushing false rumors that Obama — the country’s first Black president — was not born in the U.S. He claimed to send investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama’s birth certificate.

Obama later released his birth certificate, calling Trump a “carnival barker.” The research has found a strong correlation between birtherism, as the conspiracy theory is called, and racism. But Trump has reportedly continued pushing this conspiracy theory in private.

  • 2011: While Trump suggested that Obama wasn’t born in the US, he also argued that maybe Obama wasn’t a good enough student to have gotten into Columbia or Harvard Law School, and demanded Obama release his university transcripts. Trump claimed, “I heard he was a terrible student. Terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?”

I lived in New York City. I remember Trump's full page ad lambasting those youngsters who had been arrested. What most don't know is the resulting outrage was so great, Trump was forced to go a local hospital to visit a Black rape victim and promised to pay her bills. He was not well liked by the average New York. But many White reporters admired him.

And for the second time, I have posted a link summarizing the race hated of one Donald J. Trump. But too many on here would rather ignore this bring up stuff said by Joe Biden - as if this somehow justifies their support of a die-hard racist who has never stopped lying.

    Trump's long history of Racism
