The GOP is getting behind the most ridiculous candidates. There's a certain amount of arrogance in not even putting up the best qualified.

If the people vote for an ignorant or stupid candidate and that person wins, the citizens will get the representation they deserve.

Herschel Walker has zero business being on a campaign flyer let alone a ballot. He definitely shouldn't be on a debate stage.

My inner comedian would enjoy sitting through his debate preparation. 🤣😎

The latest news on mumble-mouth Herschel Walker is that he paid for an abortion. Also, his son has put him on blast too.

Yet, the GOP is still riding with that dude. I'm sure they could have found a stronger candidate/clown. 😎

It's interesting how memories work and how remembering one thing leads to another.

I was watching Harlem Nights and saw my man Robin Harris and started missing his short-lived comedy.

So then I had to stop watching Harlem Nights and started watching old clips of Robin Harris' routines...lol.

Robin Hughes Harris: Comedian Best Known for Comic Sketch "Bebe's Kids" [VIDEO] | Black Then

"Nigga came up to me the other day talking 'bout
'Bruh man, bruh, man....I need some money.
I got a wife and three kids at home starving!!!'

I said, well if they at home then you  need to go home and BE WITH THEM...shit"

Well, they debated last Friday.

No surprise that Warnock was the most articulate. But, typical Democrat, he didn't go hard in the paint on issues that could have buried his opponent.

Meanwhile, mumble-mouth Herschel Walker played the "I'm just a country boy" card to excuse his ignorance.  Someone prepped him relatively well. But, he pulled out a honorary badge claiming he was down with law enforcement. Props are prohibited.

More than likely, the debate won't lead  voters to change course.

Still, it's a d8mn shame that in 2022 mumble-mouth is one of their choices and folks are riding with him.😎

I’ve watched the debate Hershel did better than I expected. Warnock did worse than I expected. I don’t think anyone’s mind  will be changed by the debate.

I thought Herschel scored points when he exclaimed, “what about the babies” in response to Warnock’s focus on women’s right to rights.

If was also interesting to see hear Herschel play up his Christianity much more than the minister…

I still haven't watched the debate yet.

I really have no desire to because I still think Walker's a right-wing shill and idiot who is being used by these racist Republicans to put a Black face on their right wing policies.
Same as Kanye West.

Useful idiots.

Just find a Black man to parrot your right-wing talking points and let THEM catch heat and backlash.

I dunno. Seems like Kanye is doing things for himself. What could racist Republican give him that makes up for all the blow black from black folks and lost endorsements?

Herschel on the other hand does come across as you describe @Pioneer1 but i would stop short of exclaiming it as if it were fact, because i don’t know the man.

i also know the sound bites I’ve heard up until that point were biased and positioned to make him look dumb.  My expectations were so low, he came across better than i expected when i actually heard him speak.

the media (Fox really) is hyping the elections the way they used to hype heavyweight boxing matches it is all show and very little substance.

All of it is an interesting study of our species.

Perhaps he's not doing the things he does for favors from the Republicans or right-wing who are promoting him.
Perhaps he actually believes that he's doing "God's work".

He probably believes that God is driving him to do and say what he's doing so he probably welcomes the backlash or if he doesn't welcome it he feels it's just a consequence of doing "God's work".

I put Walker in the same category as George W. Bush...

They aren't retarded.
They are obviously in the range of normal intelligence, have had successful careers in life, married, children, etc...
They are just inarticulate, misinformed, and make far too many gaffs to qualify for public office....especially on a national level.

They'd be fine working at a factory or on a construction site somewhere, but not in an executive position.

IMO, you didn't miss anything noteworthy from the debate.

Useful idiots is a good way to describe many of these Black parrots and boot-lickers on both sides of the aisle.

Because there's no Black agenda to which poliicitians can be held accountable, they're just regurgitating the same BS talking points authored by white folks. 😎

Well, @ProfD there have been many Black Agendas' in fact there is a new book called The Black Agenda. Closer to an actual agenda has been Tavis Smiley's The Covenant with Black America which we reviewed as well.  Of course there were organizations with agenda for Black people including The Nation of Islam, The Black Panther Party, and even the Universal Negro Improvement Associations.

We are not lacking agenda's we are lacking unity.

We have been sliced up and minced into a veritable Black tower of Babel.  We have no problem eviscerating and writing off a Kayne West or Hershel Walker simply because the white-run media tells us to do so.

We embrace Black-Twitter because white folks tell us to do it and then we complain when we can get a blue check mark next to our name and get nervous when another rich white man takes over the company -- exactly the way the enslaved did when they another white man took over the plantation...

We also lack a desire to support and embrace our own -- that unless a white entity tells us it is okay to do it, and those people are usually not worth supporting.  You know someone was worth supporting? When they have been assassinated Evers, X, King, Hampton, Turner, etc...

Bingo!

All of the plans in the world will be futile unless you get behind them and make them work.

Unity was more achievable prior to "Integration" because most of our people were in the same socio-economic condition.
Today, as you said....we are so diverse;  going to a Black American event is almost akin to going to a U.N. Assembly.

Wasn't it the same White run media who BROUGHT us Kanye and Herschel????

Both men are beloved and supported by Trump worshipping right-wing White people.

You DO know that Black right-wingers (oxymoron???) are spreading this garbage around the web that Martin Luther King Jr. was also a Marxist and was sent to some sort of special Marxist/Leninist school to be indoctrinated before being ushered into the mainstream to start the Civil Rights Movement.

It was started by White Conservatives and the info was picked up by Black Conservatives and spread into different online communities.

Yes. He might not realize it, but you can’t be in favor of the destruction of lives created in God’s Image or Marriage Bills which threatens Bible Believing churches and call yourself a Representative of God. They are apostate.

They have been given over to a reprobate mind.

@daniellegfny i see your point. Hershel did “out Christian” especially when Herschel, exclaimed  “what about the babies.”

I would not be surprised if Herschel wins tbe run off despite running against a sitting Senator and having zero experience,.

I didn't watch the debate, but Christian Democrats and Liberals shouldn't allow these right-wing Conservatives to project the image of having a monopoly on Christianity or morality in general.
I'm not religious but I know the Bible better than most Christians and if you actually READ it for yourself instead of listening to these brainwashed preachers and priests about what it says, you'll find that the Jesus of the Bible was far more Liberal and Progressive than the Republican party is.

Republicans are some of the most cold blooded, murderous, adulterous, sexually perverted, immoral people on the planet....but they do a good jobs HIDING it most of the time.

There's actually evidence that the early Christians WERE Socialist.....in practice atleast.
People have to know their history and be thoroughly educated in whatever cause they choose to join because a lot of deception and manipulation is going on in politics.

@Pioneer1, many religious folks only read their Bible when directed to a chapter and verse. That's why so many of them parrot the same scriptures too. 😁

Evangelical Christians are on a totally different plane. They're using religion to uphold and reinforce white supremacy.

Many Black folks are using religion to cope with life believing if they're good people, they will be rewarded a better life in paradise i.e. when they're dead.

Religion and politics are used to keep people divided, dazed and confused. But, a little common sense goes a very long way. 😎

Lol...my religious beliefs changed when I actually READ the Bible for myself.
I began to realize most of the preachers and priests of ALL races were wrong and feeding the people misinformation.

Religion tends to OVERRIDE what we commonly understand as "common sense".
It encourages you to simply believe in something with little or no evidence and often uses fear as a tactic to push you along.

I guess this is why there are such divergent and strongly held opinions by religious people.  Some believe homosexuality is a sin others do not.  Some believe abortion is a sin others don't.  It was used to justify slavery.  Religion is what you chose to make it.

Yeah, and I guess that was who Herschel was trying to appeal to.  Is there a big population of evangelicals in GA?

You can just stop there as that statement s completely sufficient.

And here in lays the problem.
If YOU can make it as you choose and fix it up how you like, how much influence does the Divine have over it?

If a religion is just as malleable as a political party or social organization where humans can formulate it, rewire it, and reform it to their own liking....obviously it's not Divinely ordained or protected or they wouldn't be ABLE to do so.
So the question is, why even believe in a concept so easily reshaped and restructured.

Why not? Perhaps it was divinely designed to evolve as  people change over time.

Easy answer......

Things "evolve" to reach a better state of existence.

A religion that comes from God would be PERFECT already, so you don't "evolve" from perfection.

Says common sense....lol.

Why would God give you a religion with flaws in it?
Would you give YOUR children food with impurities and small amounts of toxins in it?
Would you give them information that you know isn't totally correct?
If you wouldn't do that to your own children as a human, why do you think God would?

To answer your question though, I haven't found ANY perfect religions yet.

Religion cannot be perfect because it has been authored and interpreted by human beings who are supposedly The Supreme Being's most perfect creation made in His image flaws and all. 🤣

Meanwhile, there will be a runoff election in Georgia on December 6th.

Mumble-mouth Walker is encouraging folks to get out and vote. He says bring your friends and if you don't have any friends...make some and bring them to vote too. 😎

No, I would not knowingly give my kids any of those things.

So if YOU as a human wouldn't give your children things that are imperfect if you can avoid it...why do you think God would?

Of course not. But, why do you think that is?

Because most of them are MAN-made.
I would say "all" but I haven't studied "all" religions to make such a sweeping generalization of religion period.
And because man isn't perfect, his concoctions and establishments aren't either.

Pioneer do you agree with Prof D?

Be it faaaaaar from me to sit up and disagree with the Professor...lol.

I agree that if it comes from humans, no...it's not perfect.
And most religions that I've studied come from humans.

I didn't say religions "cannot" evolve.
Whether they've "evolved" or not is up to debate, but many religions certainly have changed over time.

My point is, if a religion comes from GOD it's not likely to "evolve" because I don't believe God would give us an IMPERFECT religion to begin with that needs "evolving".

You don't "evolve" from perfection.

You can DEVIATE from it and become corrupt, but if you are already perfect then there is no need to evolve or even change.
