Ukrainian President in the House

Zelenskyy to Congress: 'Your Money Is Not Charity' | World News | U.S. News

I don't know how the Ukrainian President Zelensky was on the frontlines of the battlefield yesterday and jumped on a train to Poland and a plane to the US.

Pictured above, President Zelensky is addressing the U.S. Congress.  Of course, he thanked the US for billion of dollars and weapons.

This war is interesting  especially considering the number of journalists and camera crews running around in Ukraine.

Then, the Ukrainian president can make TikTok videos and visit other countries in the middle of a conflict.

I refuse to believe the Russians can't catch president Zelensky.  They don't want him.  That's not the goal of this dust-up. 😎

Ofcourse they could catch him.
Just like Russia could have won that war with Ukraine MONTHS ago....if they wanted to.
They don't want to end it because it MAY be part of a larger strategy to pull the U.S. and NATO into the conflict.

In the Art of War, one of the strategies is...when one is strong...pretend to be weak to through your enemy off and give them a false sense of pride and power.

No one wants to posit that all this supposed Russian military greatness was predicated on a fear of nuclear annihilation.

The Russians simply could not stomp their way to the Ukrainian capital city.

If the Russians wanted to guarantee that Ukraine would not join NATO, they seem to have succeeded. What parents want their sons to die defending a country with a bombed out infrastructure and a demolished power grid?

Agreed. D8mn shame ao many folks had to die.

For taking the azz whupping, Ukraine will get close to $100 billion from the USA in order to rebuild their country. 😎

Because it's not true.
Russia's military is second to the U.S. not ONLY because of it's nuclear stockpile but because of it's technology and general military hardware which they have so much of they can afford to sell it and trade it around the planet.
The fact that they can afford to PLAY GAMES of war in the Ukraine.....which any military leader can see they're obviously doing....is a testimony to this fact.

Don't let the propaganda these people are putting out about how poor and broke and weak Russia is, fool you.

Man they're IN THE UKRAINE ALREADY.
They've been shelling Kyiv for MONTHS now as well as any other city in the Ukraine they wish to

2 things go keep in mind:

1. They aren't ONLY fighting Ukraine's military but they're also fighting NATO by proxy who constantly supplies the Ukraine with weapons, technology, and even military personnel and mercenaries.

2. They may not WANT to stomp there way to the Ukraine capital city and install themselves in the seat yet.
If they are playing a game...as I suspect they are....they are delaying it to try to sucker the U.S. and NATO into a much more larger open conflict.

  • 8 months later...

Less than one year, Ukrainian president is back begging for more weapons and money to fight a war they cannot win.

Of course, it's a proxy war for the US. We have no issues supporting it as long as it doesn't require our troops to put their Timberlands on the ground.

The benefits go both ways. President Z gets money and toys (weapons)and relocates citizens. The US has an ally in the backyard of Russia. 😎

.....but that's coming.

And soon.

The U.S. doesn't mind sending billions to Ukraine to keep Russia contained, as long as they CAN keep Russia contained.
But they're losing the war big time and so the U.S. has to step their game up...or change games...in order to prevent Russia from expanding their grip.
Obviously proxies aren't helping, so it's probably time for a DIRECT confrontation.

The US cannot confront Russia directly unless they commit an act of aggression against us or our NATO allies.

Ukraine doesn't count because they're not in NATO.  Of course, that's the whole reason for the dust-up.

Putin knows all of it. Yet, money is bejng wasted. More importantly, hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost. All for nothing. 😎

The way they're tip-toing......
Something tells me even if there IS a direct act of aggression on either side....they'll probably try to have a series of negotiations to iron it out before escalating.

Infact, the initial act of direct aggression (if one hasn't already occurred) will probably be called a "mistake" by the media in order to conceal it while both sides try to work things out.
However a direct all out war between the U.S. and Russia IS coming eventually.
All of this tip-toing is just prolonging the inevitable.

I don't think so.

The US and Russia have been saber-rattling since the 1960s through the Cold War ending in the 1990s.

Notice that under POTUS 45 there was zero tension between the US and Russia.

Under POTUS 44, Russia invaded Crimea. After POTUS 46 got elected, there's now a war in Ukraine. There's a common denominator.

As always, watch their hands and follow the money. War and conflict or a hint generates a lot of it. Kinda like wrestling.😎

Perhaps......PERHAPS.....under the current two regimes (in the U.S. and Russia) there may not be direct conflict.
But at some point the facade will be dropped and the gloves will come off.

Those nukes aren't going to just disappear.
Somebody HAS to use them.

I'm not a weapons scientist so I don't know how long nuclear weapons last of if they have an "expiration date"....lol....but I don't see people just letting them rot and become unstable.

I believe INITIALLY those nukes were designed from Africa and Asia....not eachother.
Just incase an African or Asian nation got "too powerful" and became a threat to the Caucasian world, they'd TRY to nuke them to neutralize them.
But the Universe has a way of establishing justice and turning the powers of evil against eachother.
At some point somebody is going to get in office either in the U.S. or Russia who ain't down with the "program" and will see the other nation TRULY as an enemy and seek to destroy them.
