Today, as we approach Y2K and the dawn of a new Millennium, many
find themselves caught in a desperate struggle to maintain their sense of personal power.
This high-tech "Information Age" we life in has become increasingly impersonal
and lacks in basic human values. Consequently, we are loosing our sense of the true
purpose and real value of human existence.
I think this book offers practical assistance to almost any sincere
seeker, who is in pursuit of personal goals and attaining their dreams in life. This book
is designed to bring about the achievement of your own state of Ultimate Mental Power!
Moreover, this book offers readers a glance at the 'secret knowledge and coveted
principles,' which are behind many of the popular self-help teachings and meditation
practices of the past and present. This knowledge has been often withheld from the
awareness of the public. Using this book, and the initiations offered, may truly be your
first step in attaining a heightened level of self-mastery and human transformation!--BUDS
This book is a synthesis of the veiled teachings & wisdom
behind, What Deepak Chopra, Steve Covey, Shakti Gwain, Anthony Robbins, Les Brown, Dr.
Dean Ornish, teach but often don't reveal the source material(s) for the knowledge
systems, which they often impart to their followers!
This book is divided into three major sections.
The first Section of Ultimate Mental Power
presents to the reader a basic understanding of the origins of meditation and Yoga
science. This first Section discusses the actual utility and/or value of these practices
towards enhancing the life of the practitioner. In this Section of the main text, the
reader discovers a wealth of valuable information concerning the cross-cultural dimensions
and origins of meditation, and Yoga science as well.
In Section 2, of the book, a more detailed
explanation of the various philosophical traditions and

their related cross-cultural currents is introduced to the
reader. A particular focus of this Section will be the documentation of the specific
practices and philosophical beliefs that have emerged from within the Indus Valley culture
(India). This Section will discuss and explore the application of the different Indian
philosophical schools or traditions, as applied to the various methods of meditation and
Yoga practice, which historically originated on the Indian sub-continent. In the second
Section, the reader, is also, provided with an overview of some of the more controversial
theories and viewpoints regarding the origin of these ancient cultures. One important
aspect of this discussion is the detailing of the African origins of the Indus Valley
culture.
Finally, in Section 3, of this book, we will take a
specific look into the 'how to' in the practice of meditation and Yoga. The reader is
offered in this third and final Section, specific instructions on their initiation process
into the practice of IKO-Meditation - Level I training. While, simultaneously, the
reader is given specific guidelines for unlocking the scientific and operational basis for
this powerful training model, which is the principle basis for this book.
The author concludes the book by providing the reader, with his own
personalized testament, which is contained in the Epilogue. The Epilogue, which serves to
conclude the third Section of the book, deals with the author's own life struggles and how
the importance of discovering Ultimate Mental Power has shaped and influenced his
own personal life. The Epilogue, of this book, was written as a testament to the principle
theme of this book, Ultimate Mental Power. In this concluding narrative, the reader
will immediately sense the struggles that manifest for a true jnani (knowledge seeker) and
the many obstacles that await such a seeker. The contents of this closing narrative may
shock the average reader with its quite intense and emotionally charged written
presentation; also, the explosive nature of the content and commentary contained in the
narrative section. Through this carefully crafted narrative, the reader is taken through
the karmic twists and turns of the author's life with a definite creative literary
passion. A passion, that is often, guardedly reserved for the authors of popular fiction
and creative literature.
However, the most interesting and compelling aspect of this
narrative account, is the author's 'tell-all' explanation of his relationship with a
popular Indian 'guru' by the name of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The author's relationship with
this self-proclaimed 'Avatar' spanned over fifteen years of his life and was responsible
for dramatically altering the spiritual path of the author in surprising ways. The
description the author presents of his experiences with this Indian guru are indeed
compelling, riveting, revealing, and even at times are quite alarming. The sincerity,
seriousness, and pure honesty upon which the author invokes his story is resonant with the
suspense of a spine-tingling novel, and yet, simultaneously, the agony or irony of a
classic tragedy.
Finally, the reader will derive from this presentation, an
understanding of the author's mystical life experiences in contrast with the author's
insightful and incessant sense of logic and disciplined scholarship. Thus, the author
introduces a treatise that commands the reader to re-think, evaluate, analyze, and to
comment upon all that is being read or studied.

Notes from the author:
"Some of the readers, who have made the decision to purchase
this book, might already have decided at this point- 'oh no, not another, self-help,
promise the miracles in my life' manual!
This book is chiefly written to introduce readers to the concept of Ultimate
Mental Power or the ability to transform our reality in a world that is increasingly
striping away our innate sense of real personal power. I believe this book offers readers
some very powerful tools for reshaping one's entire thought processes. In addition, this
book helps readers through the process of expanding upon one's innate ability to obtain
fulfillment, abundance, or a state of real happiness in life. It is my belief that this
process is accomplished and can be readily achieved without the use of mystical and cultic
practices. The mystical practices that are often associated with the process of human
transformation tend to create states of delusion in the student or promote an irrational
and emotionally driven outlook on life. These mystical traditions seldom offer the student
the practical rational guidance through which they can actually attain a state of
self-empowerment or self-realization. To individuals comfortable with the typical
'following the leader' syndrome, or being a clone, robot, or blind devotee of some cultic
leader. A leader who may promise them a quick path to 'nirvana' than this book clearly is
not recommended reading for you.
Please, return this book to the shelf, or the store, right now!
Therefore, let me be quite clear, and direct with you, from the very
onset of this book! I don't believe this book all by itself can totally or effectively
change and correct all the problematic habits, attitudes, values, and world-views, which
in fact, may have taken you many years to develop. Instead, this book does offer some very
potent tools, techniques, perspectives, and methodologies that can lead directly to a
self-fulfilling and proactively self-empowered lifestyle. The use of the IKO-Meditation
Technique - Level I program, as described in this book, may perhaps become your very
first step towards acquiring a self-empowered lifestyle pattern(s). Thus, creating a new
lifestyle that is centered on your own personal success and the attainment of Ultimate
Mental Power.
The primary impetus in writing this book, evolved out of some rather
pointed and elusive personal concerns of mine. In fact, I have devoted much of my adult
life in the pursuit of these concerns. My principal concern as presented in this text has
summarily centered upon the specific historical antecedents involving the practices, which
are being described in this book. For example, I have been concerned with the treatment or
the precise way that meditation and yoga practices have been perceived, instructed, or
understood in the context of their ancient origins and esoteric foundations. Therefore, I
introduce a thesis in this book that is designed to fundamentally critique, challenge, and
dispute the mystical interpretation and traditional understanding of meditation and yoga
practices as they are commonly known in the modern era.
The principal thesis that is introduced in this book is reflective
of my personal studies and research over the past twenty-five years. This study has
afforded me the opportunity to offer some unique perspectives concerning the origins of
the ancient yoga and meditation practices or traditions, for the readers of this text.
Thus, this book, Ultimate Mental Power is an unbridled attempt to wrestle with some
of the important enigmatic historical, cultural, and spiritual or religious questions that
are being raised at the close of this millennium. Questions, that have often centered upon
the actual origins and basis of the self-improvement and human transformational
technologies available to society. These questions are fully discussed and addressed
topically in this text, as a primary result of my original thesis and ongoing personal
research, which is embodied in IKOLOGIKS theory (see Appendix).
In an attempt to satisfy the quite ambitious charge and technical
requirements of this publication, I have framed my discussion, presentation, and major
Chapter headings around several important issues or themes. First, and foremost, I bring
to the reader a concise outline of the value, purpose, and utilization of meditation
practices in our modern day culture. Attempting to offer the readers of this text a valid
tool for personalized study; the enclosed text carefully outlines through illustrations,
charts, and graphs a basic summarization of the principle elements of meditation and yoga
science. These elements and principles are critical and relevant to the theme of Ultimate
Mental Power being addressed in this book. Secondly, I bring into fundamental question
and will avidly comment on; such topical concerns, as what were the true historical
origins of the science of meditation and yoga practices? For example, are they exclusive
to the region of the Indian sub-continent? Also, are these practices of a scientific or
religious nature, or even, perhaps, both? These are just a few of the difficult and
probing questions, to which, this book directly attempts to offer answers and provide
counsel to the reader. Perhaps, the more compelling reason, as to why, I have labored to
bring this book to the surface- essentially, stems from the fact that so little has been
written about the topics, which are actually being addressed in this book.
Finally, this book truly attempts to honor the diverse and
multicultural nature of the knowledge that it is presenting to the reader. However, I
would not be totally truthful in not recognizing the inherent biases that I have placed
first, on the Indian (Bharat) culture or traditions; and secondly, on the Kemetic
(Egyptian) culture or traditions. Consequently, many of the words that are used in the
text are derived from the Sanskrit and Kemetic (Egyptian) languages. In the Appendix of
the book, the reader is provided with some generalized guidelines for pronouncing these
words and their associated grammatical usage. Now, relax, focus, and begin your journey
through the enclosed Chapters of this book, as you learn how to bring forth your own
personal state of Ultimate Mental Power!"
