THE AALBC ANNOUNCES THE BEST AFRICAN AMERICAN AUTHORS AND TITLES OF THE 20^th CENTURY

The current top authors include such greats as Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston. Some contemporary favorites include Maya Angelou, J. California Cooper, Eric Jerome Dickey, Sheneska Jackson, and Walter Mosley. Some of the best titles selected include Alice Walker’s The Color Purple, E. Lynn Harris’ And This Too Shall Pass, and Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man. There are also profiles for each of the top authors and descriptions for each of the books.
