AUTHORS

If you want recognition and have written a book or have a completed manuscript that does not depict African Americans in a stereotypical way, send your biographical sketch, photo, a summary of your book or manuscript, a review copy, and an excerpt (optional) of approximately 1600 words to be considered for publication. WRITERS
(adults and young adults)

Seeking recognition or building a portfolio? Writing book reviews and other articles for DIALOGUE may be the vehicle for you.

Books preferred are ones that do not depict African Americans in a stereotypical way and are not usually covered in mainstream marketplaces. You can review books from all genres but it’s best to ensure beforehand that any given review has not already been published.

Short stories, essays and commentaries on art, poetry, literature, and other cultural issues are also accepted, as well as "letters or e-mails to the publisher." See Submission Guidelines for more information or E-mail Benita Dale at ace-dialogue@erols.com.

ARTISTS

DIALOGUE is a channel for visual artists to gain exposure for their creative talents. Artists’ works should be able to reproduce well in black and white. See Submission Guidelines for more information or E-mail Benita Dale at ace-dialogue@erols.com.

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteering allows you to gain hands-on skills for career development or change, and build portfolios.

To help ACE expand its efforts in preserving the contributions of African-American writers and visual artists, we need those experienced at proposal writing; fundraising; public relations; and marketing and advertisement.
