with balls and ovaries of teflon and steel
who can put up with heat waves, flashbacks, old lovers and word processors
who can keep a watchful eye on November's ballot boxes
let go of western ideas, and time
give compliments and critique
maintain a regimen of poetry and fiction
and work other miracles as needed
