The subject of this post was the subject of an email I recieved. Normally I just delete these types of emails, but this one linked to Amazon so I figured it must be a book (it was). No matter how many times I read these accounts I can't wrap my mind around the barbarism. It is simply sickening to know that there are people walking around today who may have known or even loved these animals. You should NOT have deleted it. It's EXTREMELY important to know about these events---because it's real and it shows you where you stand. There are MILLIONS of ways to lynch people. In my opinion, they have just become more sophisticated...and often times...they have us do the lynching ourselves. What INFURIATES me...is that modern Blacks CLAIM to be so upset about these lynchings--but then refuse to give birth again to the people that were lynched. However, we are giving birth to the white lynchers and their pale families. I wish more of us would think about it that way. Who do we REALLY hate deep down inside and whose side are we REALLY on? This is why I detest a person like Harry Belafonte. | ||
