The African American Literature Book Club (AALBC), the Black Book Accelerator, and the American Booksellers Association (ABA) has partnered to bring the BLK Bestseller List to IndieCommerce!
Integrating the BLK Bestsellers List into IndieCommerce gives independent booksellers immediate access to trusted, Circana BookScan-backed sales data focused on books by and about Black people! It takes the guesswork out of discovering titles with proven reader demand, helping stores better serve their communities while expanding the visibility of Black literature.
This list is available on all IndieCommerce sites, and will automatically update monthly. There are 8 categories available: Adult Fiction (Hardcover), Adult Fiction (Paperback), Adult Nonfiction (Hardcover), Adult Nonfiction (Paperback), Juvenile Fiction, Juvenile Nonfiction, Young Adult and Poetry. Stores can choose to include all of these categories or just specific ones.
Stores with IndieCommerce sites can access their BLK Bestsellers landing page by adding /blk-bestsellers-list or /blk-bestsellers to the end of their website URL. (For example, 44thand3rdbookseller.com/blk-bestsellers-list is the BLK Bestsellers landing page for 44th & 3rd Bookseller.)
