Tonya Marie is a Dean's List graduate of Northwestern University (NU) and former student-athlete who attended NU on a full four-year tennis scholarship (87-91). Tonya Marie also competed on the professional women's tennis tour for four years before giving up the tennis court for the court of law. Her most notable competitions include the US Open, Virginia Slims of Philadelphia and the Lipton. 

Tonya Marie is also a cum laude graduate of Howard University School of Law (HUSL). At HUSL, Tonya Marie was Editor-In-Chief of the Law Journal. She has since published a law review article entitled The Intersectionality of Race and Gender in the Context of Intercollegiate Athletics. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Gamma Chi Chapter, Spr. 89).

Susan Borden Evans, Esquire is the maternal influence of FYOSSM Entertainment, LLC. Susan is an intellectual property attorney in the Philadelphia firm of Susan Borden Evans Associates, PC. Ms. Evans is a member of the patent bar and concentrates her practice in patent and trademark prosecution.

Ms. Evans has always supported every endeavor of her daughter Tonya Marie -- from hair brained schemes to lifelong passions. Tonya Marie's artistic pursuits are no exception. In fact, Ms. Evans is now branching out into the world of publishing in order to help market and promote FYOSSM publications!

Until Spring 2001, FYOS is only accepting SOLICITED manuscripts, so please do not forward unsolicited manuscripts at this time. Our baseline publication criteria requires that authors be black. FYOS seeks to publish black writers throughout the Diaspora. At this time, they will only consider poetry and general fiction.
