Kujichagulia Press is an independent African-American publishing house that was founded in 1994 by Erriel Kofi Addae (Erriel D. Roberson) and his wife, Elisa Roberson. The first release of the newly founded publishing company was The Maafa & Beyond, Erriel's second book. Since 1994 the company has undergone steady and principled growth and development. "The idea was that we would make this a viable publishing company, built from the ground up as a self-sustaining, quality entity. Our goal was and is slow growth to enable increasingly high quality publications and operations," explains Erriel.
