Blessing Musariri
Biography
Blessing Musariri was born in 1973 in Harare, Zimbabwe. She developed a passion for poetry during her junior school years, participating in speech and drama lessons, which led to her first international publication in 2006 with the poem “Popular Fiction” in Granta’s New Writing. She holds a master’s degree in diplomatic studies from the University of Westminster and has been involved in various literary projects, including the Crossing Borders Project.
Musariri’s literary career spans poetry, short stories, and novels. Her poetry chapbook, Mitu’s Spice Tour, published in 2015, explores life across multiple cultures and has been well-received in literary circles. She has also published works on notable platforms such as the BBC and The Guardian, showcasing her versatility as a writer.
