“I want my readers to laugh, relate to the stories, see themselves or someone they know within a character but most importantly… I want them to learn something. I write stories that show my readers how to bounce back from the pain that life can throw at you.”

Cherry is the daughter of a single mother who told her she could do whatever she put her mind to. Forced to read out loud from the age of five created a love for words and a hobby of writing that wouldn’t truly reveal itself until later years.

After graduating from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Cherry relocated back to her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina where she currently resides and maintains a career in banking and finance. But not even a Fortune 500 company could hold back her love for writing. Transitioning notebooks of poems and songs into characters and stories birthed her debut novel, A Little Bit of Tail.
