Deanna Grey
Biography
Deanna Grey is a romance author known for writing New Adult stories centered on Black women, including sapphic romance and contemporary love stories. Her work often explores ambition, competition, identity, and relationships through characters whose experiences reflect the lives of Black women.
Grey has spoken about the importance of seeing Black women represented in romance and has cited that representation as an influence on her own writing. Her novel Outdrawn, a sapphic rivals-to-lovers romance, follows two competing comic artists whose professional rivalry develops into something more.
