Biography
Don Tate is the illustrator of more than fifty (as of 2016) critically acclaimed trade and educational books for children, and the author of two award-winning titles.
He is a founding host of the The Brown Bookshelf, a blog dedicated to books for African American young readers; and a member of the #WeNeedDiverseBooks organization, created to address the lack of diverse, non-majority narratives in children’s literature.
