Donna Oriowo
Biography
Dr. Donna Oriowo (pronounced “oreo-whoa!”), LICSW, CST, is an award-winning DEI advocate, international speaker, and certified sex and relationship therapist based in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. She is the founder of AnnodRight, a private practice specializing in helping Black women address the impacts of colorism and texturism on mental and sexual health.
Dr. Oriowo is dedicated to helping Black women feel “Free, Fabulous, and F*cked!” She is the author of Cocoa Butter & Hair Grease: A Self-Love Journey Through Hair and Skin and Drink Water and Mind Your Business, and hosts In My Black Feelings, a weekly community space for Black women.
She previously served as DEI Co-Chair and Communications Steering Committee Chair for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is a member of the Women of Color Sexual Health Network (WOCSHN). When she’s not working, Dr. Donna enjoys collecting inspiring quotes, eating donuts and pasta, traveling to learn about new cultures, and sharing COVID-safe handshakes, warm hugs, and the occasional figurative knock on the head.
