Elaine Savory

Elaine Savory is Emeritus Professor of Literary Studies and Environmental Studies at The New School. She is a leading scholar of Jean Rhys, and has published widely on Caribbean women writers as well as poetry and theater. She is a poet (flame tree time) and theater practitioner. Her most recent work contributes to the new field of environmental humanities, specifically plant humanities (e.g. the breadfruit).
