Eve MacDonald

Eve MacDonald is a Canadian-British ancient historian and archaeologist. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, she has lived in the UK for several decades and considers London her home, though she remains a Canadian at heart. She teaches and researches cultures both inside and outside of the traditional Greco-Roman worlds and has taught courses in Carthaginian, Roman, and Persian material culture and history.

Professor MacDonald has taught ancient history, classics, and archaeology at:

• University of Edinburgh
• Cardiff University

She currently teaches at Cardiff University and enjoys engaging with students, especially those who are considering the study of the ancient world.
