Jill Marie Snyder

Biography

Jill Marie Snyder found her parents’ love letters after her mother died in 2007. Written from 1937 to 1941, the letters were wrapped in a plastic bag and hidden in a cabinet. For two years, she contemplated what to do with them. Initially, she decided to simply transcribe them, but as time went by she felt they should be shared. The result is her first published book Dear Mary, Dear Luther: A Courtship in Letters.

Jill is a lifelong resident of Connecticut. She has a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Connecticut and an M.A. in Communication from Fairfield University. She’s employed by a Connecticut insurer and also serves on the board of the Community Healing Network Inc.
