Krishan Trotman

Krishan Trotman is Vice President and Publisher of Legacy Lit, the Hachette Book Group imprint she launched in 2020 to publish narrative nonfiction, fiction, and mission-driven commercial works by BIPOC authors, women, and other underrepresented voices. During her more than 15-year career in publishing, she has edited and championed bestselling and influential books by Congressman John Lewis, Stephanie Land, Malcolm Nance, Zerlina Maxwell, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Al Roker, and Ed Gordon.

Trotman is also the coauthor of the popular Queens of the Resistance series, celebrating the leadership of Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Recognized as one of publishing's rising leaders, she has been profiled by The New York Times, Essence, and New York Magazine, which named her to its publishing "New Power Club."
