Biography

MarZé Scott was born in Nashville, TN, but a family move to Michigan as a toddler made her a lifelong resident of Ypsilanti, MI.

MarZé learned to read and write at an early age, being able to read one of her favorite books, Dr. Suess’s The Cat In The Hat, at the tender age of three. As a youngster, MarZé has always had a love for writing poems and creating stories and scripts for playtime with her dolls.

A 2014 graduate of The University of Michigan Ann Arbor, MarZé spent time teaching elementary aged students who loved her original stories that gave representation to the population and life situations that her students experienced outside of the classroom.

MarZé loves art and traveling, but also enjoys creating custom-made clothing and wire jewelry, cooking, baking, as well as drawing, painting, and makeup artistry when she’s not writing.
