Shannon Wright

Shannon Wright is an illustrator and cartoonist based in Richmond, Virginia. She has illustrated several picture books, My Mommy Medicine by Edwidge Danticat and Twins by Varian Johnson. She also provided the cover art for Betty Before X by Ilyasah Shabazz and Renée Watson, and Strange Birds: A Field Guide to Ruffling Feathers by Celia C. Pérez. Shannon graduated with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she co-teaches a comics course during the summer.
