Skyler Houston

Skyler Houston, or “Skye” as she is often referred, is originally from Philadelphia, Mississippi, but was raised in Athens, Georgia. She has a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Brenau University. Skye attributes her passion for writing to her high school days as a yearbook editor. She has always wanted to bring her love for children and writing together, so she is humbled and excited with the opport”s book I Want to be Like to her late grandma, Hattie, who was her biggest fan and greatest inspiration. Skye’s proudest moments has been Amazon ranking I Want to be Like in the top 100 of best sellers & top 10 of new releases for African American children’s books. Additionally, Skye enjoys traveling and trying new eateries in her leisure time.
